Is there some rule against excerpting your own blog? I thought this section of the forum was specifically for blogs?
As for your question, I will not try to hide the fact that I blog in an attempt to get readers. I spend hours each day writing articles that I feel provide meaningful legal analysis and the reward that most bloggers are seeking (myself included) is having your blog become known as a reliable source of good writing. In order for that to happen, people need to visit the site.
In short, I AM trying to generate traffic to my blog but I am not trying to mislead anyone and I am not selling anything. I always post enough of an excerpt to let readers know what the article is about so that they can decide if they are interested in reading the entire article.
If this is a violation of the rules of the forum, could a moderator please let me know?

BTW isn't it proper etiquette to ping a person when you refer to 'em?
