Fake Conservatives As Dangerous To Freedom As Obama

If Americans are looking for anything in the dark clouds of political dust and powdered ash that choke our air and leave us feeling naked against the elements, it is but a simple moment of sincerity. It sounds like an easily attainable thing, and yet, we continue to gasp and clamor. The visible surface of our nation is so devoid of honest connection with our social voice that we have turned to a cynical form of loneliness. We have embraced a life without clarity, and been made wretchedly bitter, desperate for even the faintest taste of truth.

Pretty much what a lot of us here on FR have been saying over the last week or so.

This election year, we MUST NOT play the old game of the “lesser of two evils”. The fact is, there is no such thing, and there never was.

At the very least, hold your fire support until you see the whites of their (the GOP's) eyes. In the mean time, give em hell!

The ‘lesser of two evils’ is a choice between a gun to your head or a knife to your throat.

Either way, you lose.

What a horribly "choiceless" year! We have a devout, 100% glossy dummycrat who, as far as we know, will head our ticket into disaster. There's no excuse for the Stupid Party to have trumpeted this phony onto our ballot.

Every single RINO who has endorsed Mitten has disgraced the party. And those so-called conservative talking heads and politicians that think it's cute to support this liar, should be ashamed of themselves.

Looks like we're going to hand the classless illegal alien from Kenya another 4 years to destroy everything that this country has shed blood for. Lord help us!

Same thing happens every election, from both sides. The true believers always say “no more lesser of two evils”.

Idealistic, but impractical. Its just not how the system was built.

I don’t like Romney. I’d rather almost anyone from the field have been nominated. I always vote for the most conservative option available. Barring a miracle, liberal Romney seems to be the most conservative guy left. Liberal is better than radical, if only a little. I’m sure I’ll be blasted for saying that.

Vote your conscience. I’ll likely reluctantly vote Romney, and hope to God Ann Coulter is right about him. I doubt it, though.

Have been working on convincing the husband that we should NOT vote for Romney in November. Then let the chips fall. At least the GOP will be be forever blamed for going over the edge.

We'll be just as divided with Romney. Even worse, some will get complacent just because a Republican sits in office thinking that all is now well. In reality, the liberals will push their agenda, and we'll still have no one to stand in their way.

I feel the same way. The thing about some cures is that you have to take the full regiment, as bad as the side effects can be.

I suspect the GOP is sweating bullets right now over the conservatives disapproval of the GOP's chosen candidate.

False. And you know it is.

I will be voting for a conservative in the primary and in the election.

I will not vote for a liberal. Neither Romney or Obama.

And that's who I will be voting for.

Romney has NO chance. Period. That's why he's being pushed by the media and the GOP-e.

I will continue to vote for the most conservative candidate on the ballot. And it won't be Romney or Obama.

Heh. Just another term for “idealist”. I’m not an idealist. I am a conservative through-and-through.

There may be a conservative on the ballot with a chance of spoiling. I’m not convinced there will be one with a chance of winning. In the real world, the lesser evil is better than the greater one.

Then you enable to GOP-E to pawn liberals off on us, knowing that you will hold your nose and vote for whatever crap liberal they put forward with their dirty tricks, rule changes, and help from a complicit media.

And that is the greater evil.

I won't be encouraging them with my vote. I will vote for a conservative.

Romney is un-electable, and if elected supports evil. Vote for him if you want. I'm a conservative.

They don’t need enabling. They’re doing fine on their own. Gingrich or Santorum should’ve gotten out several months ago so the other one could win. Their pride gave us Romney.

Obama is the greater evil. Not me. Not Romney. Not the GOP-E, nor the ‘enablers’ thereof. Obama. Keep your eye on the ball.

Romney is not conservative, but almost anybody is ‘electable’ running against an incumbent with Obama’s record.

I’ll vote Gingrich in the primary.

What conservative for the GE? There isn’t one. Idealism is fine ‘til the rubber hits the road. Then you’ve got to pick an actual available option. Pragmatism has its moments.

If pragmatism will send Obama on his merry way, it’ll suffice. Romney would be a better President than Obama. That point isn’t disputable. Whether he would be substantially better (Coulter version) or only marginally better (everyone else) remains to be seen. Better is still better.

Bottom line, I’m not sure we can survive another four years of Obama. I think we probably can survive four of Romney.

We could be experiencing an ugly future come November. It is looking more and more as though conservatives and moderates will split and give us four more years of Obama that may turn out to be the last four years of America.

If Obama loses [which seems unlikely in view of the sentiments expressed on this board] the call to kill the white oppressors would be fast and furious from the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, V. Jones and Farrakhan. The subsequent race wars could make the Rodney King riots look like a pep rally.

I guess that is the choice, either explain someday (to our Creator) why we voted for one of the ones who want people to pay for state sponsored murder of children in the womb, or vote against that.

Eternity hangs in the balance: I can't vote for murder.

“In the real world, the lesser evil is better than the greater one.”

So, tell us, which is the lesser evil for a compromise, Obama as a candidate for the DNC or FidEl Castro as a candidate fro the RNC? In other words, just how far can the Democrats, Progressives, Socialist, and communists infiltrate the Republican Party before you refuse to compromise any further?

What makes you think Romney has any chance whatsoever of winning the election, especially given the role of SCYTL in counting the election results? If Romney is a sham candidate put into place by the Democrat perticipation as fake Republicans in the primary elections and caucuses, what makes you think Romney even if elected will not undertake the Obama goals?

Party is irrelevant. I’d vote for a Democrat if he was more conservative than the Republican. Symbolic votes are mostly useless (except in cases where, for instance, your State is a foregone conclusion). Vote for a viable candidate.

Obama is a radical. Castro is an armed revolutionary (at least in his prime). If the country was situated so far left that those are the only two viable choices, then Obama would be preferable. And I’d leave the country.

All momentum is with Romney and we have to accept that he seems to be the probable nominee. He is not my choice, but it goes without saying that Obama isn't either.

We still have a convention to conduct and a platform to pass. There has to be some belief that our chosen candidate will follow the party platform. If that is not the case I don't know what to think we are left with.
