Valerie Jarrett’s Father-in-Law Was a Communist – Worked With Obama Mentor Frank Marshall Davis

Senior Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett’s late father-in-law and Chicago Sun-Times columnist Vernon Jarrett, was a key member of the South Chicago communist left of the late 1940s.

After graduating from Knoxville College in Tennessee, Jarrett moved to Chicago in 1946 to work as a journalist. On his first day on the job at the radical Chicago Defender, he was sent to cover a race riot.

The Defender was heavily influenced by the Communist Party USA and included on its roster well known Chicago Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis:

Jarrett and Davis worked on the Defender around the same time. They certainly knew each other through the Communist Party and its fronts.

In June 1946, Vernon Jarrett was elected to the Illinois Council of the Communist Party’s youth wing, then known as American Youth for Democracy. This is according to Testimony of Walter S. Steele regarding Communist activities in the United States. Hearings before the Committee on Un-American Activities, House of Representatives, Eightieth Congress, first session, on H. R. 1884 and H. R. 2122, pages 75,76. It is the first hard evidence tying Vernon Jarrett directly to the Communist Party. Frank Marshall Davis, incidentally, was an official sponsor of American Youth for Democracy, along with confirmed communists Howard Fast, Langston Hughes, John Howard Lawson and Dirk Struik.

In April 1948, Frank Marshall Davis and Vernon Jarrett were working together as members of the publicity committee of the communist controlled Citizens’ Committee to Aid Packing-House Workers.

Besides Davis and Jarrett, communist officials of the strike committee included Oscar Brown (Treasurer) , Louise Patterson (Assistant Treasurer) and Ishmael Flory (food & groceries committee).

Later that year, Frank Marshall Davis left Chicago for Hawaii to work on the Honolulu Record, then edited and run by Communist Party member Koji Ariyoshi.

The most frightening aspect of this report to me is that it is relegated to an obscure blog no doubt because the information would never see the light of day in the establishment media. This is testimony to the effectiveness of the McCarthyism offensive waged by the left in the 1950s which even unto today virtually proscribes any investigation of communist affiliation among the left today. Even more does this taboo apply to politicians who are black.

It tells us how far our politics have degraded in six decades. We have come from a place in which a prominent communist hunter, Richard Nixon, could become president of the United States (as did another anti-Communist, Ronald Reagan) to a place where the President of the United States is almost certainly a communist sympathizer if not an outright communist who offers the hospitality of the White House on the most intimate terms to Valerie Jarrett who is so prominently mentioned in this article.

Despite the provenance of the information, i.e. an obscure blog as opposed to a mainstream media outlet, I find the information credible and consistent with all the information which one finds elsewhere if one hunts. It is a pity that we have become so vulnerable to such insinuation into our holiest of holies in the White House, its very inner sanctum, yet we are without a politically correct organ in the fourth estate to warn the people. It is very unlikely that this story will gain any traction or have any influence on the election.

Then I recall the Tea Party Movement and November 2010, not because I think the Republican Party will necessarily save us, but because I'm hopeful that a great awakening will.

I've long suspected that Davis is Obama's real father. Davis was friends with Obama's Grandpa Dunham. Davis was connected with the Chicago Left, which is where Obama went after graduating.

Does anybody here doubt that there would be a connection between Davis and Ayers, given the connections between the Communist Party and the Weather Underground, particularly between black radicals like Davis and the Weather Underground coming from the Chicago Eight trial?

The biggest surprise to me is that Valerie Jarrett is (or has been) married.

And within the last week I learned that tax scofflaw Tim Geithner’s father (Peter) worked for the Ford Foundation and was there at the time they gave a grant to Stanley Ann Dunham to study ducks! Tim Geithner was raised in a 3rd World country, thanks to Peter Geithner. Obama didn’t find these folks by accident, did he?

All these Communists and fellow travellers are now running our country. Who could have predicted it?

No, he didn't. The Left is, and has been, very tightly organized. The players know each other, and network incessantly. I would not be surprised that Grandpa Dunham had been recruited for the Party back in the 1930's (when a lot of recruiting had been happening) and joined Frank Davis's cell in Hawaii.
