Alarmed by widespread reports of visibly sick, deformed seafood coming out of the Gulf of Mexico, state officials have closed area waters to shrimping this morning (April 23). The waters will be closed indefinitely as scientists run tests in an effort to get a handle on a situation that is fast becoming a full-blown crisis on the Gulf Coast.
The closures including all waters in the Mississippi Sound, Mobile Bay, areas of Bon Secour, Wolf Bay and Little Lagoon mark the first official step in responding to increasingly urgent reports from fishermen and scientists of grotesquely disfigured seafood from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle.

Just so everyone knows, this is a reposting of a reposting.
The very first “network” to “report” this: Al-Jazerra.
So, all the leftists rags are now covering THAT report.
There is NO OFFICIAL FIRST HAND REPORT on this topic that is NOT foreign enemy propaganda.
Why are you linking to this trash, garbage, alarmist site? A few sea creatures with some level of deformity is not a new occurrence. Have you ever spent much time in the Gulf waters or around fisherman? This is much ado about nothing and the garbage logic behind garbage science is promoting ill-advised reactions. I’m surprised to see it linked by someone on FR?!?
“The reason is very easy to see: He didnt carry any of the Gulf-Coast states in the election. Retribution is written all over this one.”
I strongly suspected that to be the reason but needed a second opinion as reassurance.
Thank you again.
We are all DOOMED I tell you DOOMED. O wait the tiger shrimp are coming, nevermind.
Let me guess.....this is your own blog.
The first link from your “article” was a correction.
Ditto. I see food every day, and none is deformed.
Never let a good crisis go to waste...
I keep hoping that some of the Japanese radiation gets in the gulf and makes giant mutant shrimp, something like 3-4 count. Grill them babies up and get me some butter...
Your name is fitting.
Your name is fitting.
P.S. Just because someone didn’t take french, doesn’t mean they didn’t take a foreign language. Spanish was my foreign language of choice.
Im going to assume that you mean "voilà," which is a French word.
Further, I am going to have to assume you dropped French before the use of accent grave was taught.
I took a year of Latin, French, Spanish and German in high school. Didn’t everyone else? :-)
You’re complaining about an accent? :-)
I have a little cheat sheet taped to the keyboard for special characters. Unfortunately, I don’t have the “a” with the backward accent.
BTW, I am proof learning a foreign language in high school is not all it is cracked up to be. I took 4 years of French & retained maybe ½ day's worth of knowledge. :)
“I took 4 years of French & retained maybe ½ day’s worth of knowledge.”
With four years of four different foreign languages that I took in high school, I found that the one year of Latin was the best choice even though I wasn’t aware of it at the time. It is the “foundation” of the others and English, also.
