On April 25th the Tennessee State Senate voted unanimously to allow federal and state law enforcement officials full access to the medical records of the citizens of Tennessee. According to SB 2407, state and federal law enforcement personnel authorized to have access under 53-10-306 shall be permitted to have real time electronic access to the database The statute continues by stating that access is permitted without the necessity of obtaining a search warrant. It is a law which is scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2012 as the public welfare [requires] it.(1)
Outraged Tennessee residents who wrote and emailed their state senators about the Constitutionality of the law received the following replies from 2 of the lawmakers:
1.) Legislation is only unconstitutional when the high court deems it so, and
2.) Then Im sure it will be struck down in court. (2)
As Liberty Legal Foundation head counsel Van Irion so rightly puts it, Both of these statements reflect a shocking disregard for the Constitution, for the Senators Oaths of Office and for the rights of their constituents. (2)
From Roe v Wade in which legal authority was granted via the convenient manufacture of...

One would imagine that none of the legislative folks know or understand anything about personal or private information. Here they waste valuable time....when they could have crafted a stolen-ID law with teeth. Total waste.
“Tennessee State Senate voted unanimously to allow federal and state law enforcement officials full access to the medical records of the citizens of Tennessee.”
AND... what ‘reason’ do they need to have ‘full access’ to these records????????
Does that mean that citizens of Tennessee have a ‘right’ to ‘full access’ to Obama’s medical records?
It appears that they don't need a reason to allow anyone and their dog to peruse through your personal life. These people keep and use personal information like it was pornography... lying b@$tards.
What’s it going to take...? “The answer is blowing in the wind.”
Any doubt communism is here? The liberty and freedom is so lost that the opposite of a Constitutional protected freedoms is pure communism.
Legislators need to start eliminating laws.
Not making more.
We have more than enough laws.
It’s the Tyrannical Sensation that’s Sweeping the Nation!
Tired of those pesky fourth amendment rights clogging up your legal system?
Police State! takes care of those annoying impediments that assume your innocence until proven guilty.

The Hell they aren't.
Why do these idiots think that the following is in the Constitution, (Art VI):
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution;"
Most if not all State Constitutions have similar requirements.
Do they think that was put in so the legislators, etc can just ignore the requirements of the Constitution. Not likely. SOBs should be impeached whenever they pass unconstitutional acts, if they knew or should have known (and Constitutions are pretty simple) that what they were doing was in conflict with the State or Federal Constitution.
Here’s the solution. Should any piece of legislation be declared un-Constitutional any Legsislator who voted for it is summarily executed by boiling in oil.
That works for me, but just between us, it would be a little bit hard to get that through the legislature.
There is that to contend with.
