a Romney win will give Rinos 4 years of power followed by democratic landslides for 8 yrs...

An Obama win will give Conservatives 32 yrs of future presidents after 4 yrs...Who said Rome was built in a day???

As powerful as the Presidency is, I’m 100% certain that there nothing Obama can do to kill the conservative movement. 0bama is NOT interested in killing the conservative movement. He is interested in killing the idea of America itself. Romney will NOT advance the conservative movement but he will not kill it. That is silly. A Romney victory will allow us to fight another day.

If Romney wins conservatives live to fight another day. If 0bama wins....forget it. There will not be another day.

Why? Is the world going to end?

I'm sick of this chicken-little BS. We are faced with no positive outcomes in this election, but here are the facts:

Worst outcome: Obama wins, Democrats Take Control of the Congress.
If that happens, conservatives have lost everything for the next generation at least. Nothing short of divine intervention could save us from socialism at that point.

Second worst outcome: Romney wins
If Romney wins, it doesn't matter who controls the Congress. Socialism will progress, and fast. Romney will have no opposition from Republicans and Democrats will only oppose to push him even further to the left. And he will acquiesce. That's his MO. Worse, Republicans will get the blame for every piece of socialist legislation that Romney signs, resulting in catastrophic defeats in 2014 and a probably loss of the presidency in 2016 to an even more radical Democrat controlling even more insuperable majorities in Congress.

Least bad outcome: Obama wins with less than 50% of the vote, Republicans control Congress with solid majorities in each house.
This could happen with the emergence of a strong conservative third party candidate that bleeds votes from Romney, giving Obama a Clinton-style non-mandate victory. A strong conservative third party would also have the effect of energizing otherwise apathetic conservatives to come out and vote for conservative Republicans down-ticket, even while voting against Liberal Mitt on the top line. The resulting government produces only gridlock which keeps us in the fight with momentum leading into 2014 and 2016.

Given this, I have decided to vote for a Third Party candidate in November. If no one with more national name recognition emerges, Virgil Goode will be getting my vote. I encourage others to think about it and do likewise.

The chances of 0bama winning AND Republicans keeping House and taking Senate are very, very slim. That is the worst.

Since that is the worst I will vote to combine Romney AND Republican House and Senate.

It is absolutely naive to think that 0bama will win but the Republicans will keep either of the two chambers.

I will not condemn my children and grandchildren to that if I can help it.

Does it really matter whather you drive over the cliff fast, or drive over the cliff slow?

Either way we get a liberal in the White House.

Does anyone really believe that Romney will govern under a conservative banner?
Under a GOP banner? Yes.
But under a conservative banner? No.

GOP does not equal conservative anymore.

It’s my impression that you vote republican this time around, but immediately begin the 3rd party option to be viable for 2016. It is now or never. Just like the republicans booted out the whigs in about a 6 year run up fo ever-increasing wins, the tea party should organize in each state and we should encourage candidates to run for president. Every cycle, we hear it cannot be done, but if we pick up even more wins this time around, we need to go for it. As for the Constitution party, we need a viable candidate. I’m not sure you could call Virgil Goode that. I’ve read some things that seem downright weird. By viable, I mean electable, not somebody who spouts a barrage of stuff but sounds incoherent at times.

At some point, I think the establishment Democrats and Republicans will merge into one middle-of-the-road party that appeals to the mushy middle, the Democrat extremists will go Green, and the rest of us will end up in some Constitutionalist party.

However, this is not going to happen in one election cycle. Conservative candidates who hold no fealty to the Republican Party need to be elected starting at the local level. Once established there, then at the state level. Finally, start making inroads into the federal level. Only after several successful election cycles with increasing gains at the federal level would we have a hope of fielding a successful presidential candidate.

But that’s a long time away. Who are we supporting locally to start this process?

I disagree about Romney. He will set the conservative movement back significantly.

If you thought the GOP-E was bad now, wait until it is stacked with Romneybots.

Of course if you are a fan of Romney’s liberal agenda or the leadership style of McCain, Boehner, and McConnell....maybe a Romney dominated RNC is what you want.
