Sex Crimes of Rich and Famous Often Go Unpunished
The Christian Diarist ^ | May 9, 2012 | JP

I wonder what Maggy Haggerty think about allegation against John Travolta – that the acclaimed actor sexually assaulted at least two masseurs?

I imagine it sounds all too familiar to Haggerty, a massage therapist. She went public three years ago with an accusation that former Vice President Al Gore tried to sex her up in a Portland, Ore. hotel room.

“Al Gore is a pervert and a sexual predator,” she charged. “He’s not what people think he is – he’s a sick man.”

According to the report she filed with Portland police, Gore was in town to deliver a speech on global warming. In advance of his appearance, the future Nobel laureate thought he’d enjoy a stimulating massage.

When Haggerty showed up, she said, the man who was once a heartbeat away from the presidency felt her up, kissed on her and demanded a “happy ending.” When she refused, he took matters into his own hands.

When the Gore sex scandal moved from the cover of the National Enquirer to the pages of the New York Times and other “mainstream” news organizations, his dutiful wife Tipper came to his defense.

She said she didn’t believe Haggerty’s allegations. She said she’d known massage was part of her man’s, ahem, “health regimen” for any number of years.

But the former Second Lady was no longer willing to stand by Gore when subsequent allegations were made against him by two other massage therapists.

That included a woman who reported an incident at the rooftop spa of a hotel Gore visited while in Hollywood to attend the Academy Awards ceremony (where Saint Al won an Oscar for his global warming jeremiad, “An Inconvenient Truth”).

According to the masseuse’s account, when Gore got her alone, he dropped his towel and stood naked before her. He pointed at his aroused manhood and ordered her, “Take care of this.”

That apparently was too much for long-suffering Tipper Gore. She finally decided to divorce her husband of more than 40 years.

But there was no consolation for Al Gore’s victims – the powerless women like Molly Haggerty.

For the former vice president, the sexual predator, managed to escape justice for his sins.

Bet Travolta beats the rap, just like Gore did.

The point of the article is well taken.

As is the parallel fact that such men are targets for false accusations, as they can often be shaken down.

Lets also not forget Slick Willy’s ‘Put some ice on it’ line. How the dems can, with a straight face, talk about the republican’s war on women I’ll never know. Then again why would women vote for these slobs?

excerpt:

"...the woman tells how Gore greeted her at the door of his room at the Hotel Lucia for the 11 p.m. appointment with a hug that "went on a bit long," then quipped "call me Al." Hotel staff had told the licensed therapist when booking her that the client was Al Gore, but that he was going under the name "Mr Stone."

Gore allegedly asked her to focus on his abdominal area and adductors -- the inner thigh muscles -- as well as his back and other areas.

While his lower body was covered with a sheet, she said, Gore "became vocal" with "muffled moans" and asked her to go lower, getting angry when she refused.

"It appeared he was demanding sexual favors or sexual behaviors," the woman said.

She then asked Gore to show her where he wanted to be massaged and he "grabbed my hand, shoved it down under the sheet to his ***** **** area, my fingers brushing against his ***** and firmly planted my hand on his pubic crest region and said to me 'There!' in a very sharp, loud, angry-sounding tone."

The woman told police she was caught in "a perfect storm" in a room with someone who was "Teflon-coated in terms of his credibility and celebrity status"..."

Police specifically responded to claims by the woman -- who said she remained clothed through the alleged encounter -- that she had noticed her black slacks had "stains" on them.

Police said they did not collect her attire because they believed it would not provide evidence.

“At this point, the Police Bureau does not consider this an ongoing investigation unless new evidence is received in this case,” Wednesday's police statement said.

ALL THE EX-PRESIDENT'S SCANDALS
Nurse backs up Clinton rape charge
Attended Broaddrick's wounds after alleged assault in Arkansas

June 26, 2003

[a few excerpts from article...]

Kelsey recalls Broaddrick saying the meeting with Clinton began with small talk, and "she was a little surprised he was by himself."

"She said he was showing her locations outside the window there in Little Rock, and then, all of a sudden, he just kind of grabbed her and started kissing her," remembers Kelsey.

"He overtook her and pushed her to the bed, and from that point on it was just a rape."

Kelsey says Broaddrick explained how her lip became swollen: "He bit her lip to try to keep her from struggling with him."

She should have held out her hand and said, "Put it right here, and I'll show you the end you've never seen before."

I’ll tell you all right now, I don’t think Travolta did a damn thing wrong. I believe this is a garbage suit.

I can’t quote the stuff that is in the plaintiff’s claims due to the graphic nature of it but it is so totally off the wall that unless his accusers have DNA evidence, these lawsuits are going to be dismissed, the claimants AND their attorney are going to rue the day they tried this scam, and I say that because Travolta’s attorney (Marty Singer) is one SOB you do NOT want to mess with, he is one of THE most rabid legal attack dogs in Hollywood, you can best believe that Travolta has had him on a big retainer for years, and when he comes out and states that the charges are bogus, you can bet the rent on it because HIS reputation is on the line as well.

Now like Tim Wilson says, “I could be wrong” but from what I’ve read of this alleged sordid affair, it sounds like the plaintiff(s) tried to shake down Travolta first, and when he wouldn’t knuckle under, they upped the ante.

We’ll see. But at this point, I think Travolta is innocent.

Yep, if you’re going to go after a Scientologist, you’d better have a damn good lawyer, because you aren’t going to out-lawyer them.

Sure, Travolta is innocent.

Like Bill Clinton (denying his dalliance with a White House intern): “I did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinski.”

Like John Edwards (denying his affair with Rielle Hunter): “The story is false. It’s completely untrue, ridiculous.”

Like Mark Sanford (denying he went to Buenos Aires to hook up with his mistress): “I wanted to do something exotic. It’s a great city.”

Like Tiger Woods (denying his adulterous liaisons with too many trollops to count): “The many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about … me are false.”

Unfortunately for you, the person being accused here is not:

a.)Bill Clinton

b.) John Edwards

c.) Mark Sanford

d.) Tiger Woods

In the American legal system, as flawed and as shaky as it might be these days, there is still a presumption of innocence when one is accused of a crime or offense. Guilt is not determined until the accused is convicted by a jury of their peers. Now until that occurs, John Travolta is entitled to that presumption of innocence, and you and the other members of your lynch mob will just have to live with that. You are in effect, doing to Travolta what was done to George Zimmerman.

However I’m relatively certain that you could not care less about that. Travolta is GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY, right?

Who needs a trial? Isn’t that what you’re saying?

The so-called 'Christian Diarist' certainly is saying that no trial is needed, his statements establish that in his biased mind, Travolta is already guilty. He's placed the accused in the same company as Clinton, Edwards, Sanford & Woods. That speaks volumes. 'Christian Diarist' would be automatically disqualified from jury selection based on his comments in this thread alone.

but i have a couple of questions for ya...

I'm sure you do.

1. Do u know him personally..

Irrelevant. It doesn't matter if I know the accused personally or not. If I did know him personally, I'm certainly not going to state it here.

2. And why do u assume hes innocent...the old been there done that defense?

Screw you.

(its just a question)

Like Hell. You're not even half clever with that lame attempt at being sly and trying to justify your sneer with "it's just a question", don't even try that game with me. GTF outta here with that crap.

Of course Travolta is entitled to a trial (although, like Gore, I expect his fame and fortune will enable him to avoid such an ignominy). As to the sordid allegations against him, they could be made of whole cloth. But it’s hard to imagine that several male masseurs(or more) would conspire to shake the actor down.
