Romney Surges to New Lead on Obama

Former Massaschusetts Governor Mitt Romney has opened a widened lead on President Barack Obama. Battered by poor economic news, the President has dipped, while Romney is surging on new GOP unity. While still early in the race, this is good news for the Republican nominee.

This new poll comes to us from Rasmussen, which is the most reliable of the major pollsters. This also comes as Romney has had some success against Obama in the polls so far. This, however, is the largest yet.

Romney: 50% Obama: 43% Other/don't know: 7%

This is more good news for the Romney campaign. Gallup has Romney up by three, as well.

But what about all those other polls?

What about the polls showing Obama up among women, due to the war on women narrative?

What about the polls showing Obama up among voters in the battleground states?

What about the polls showing Obama up among women voters in the battleground states?

What about polls showing Obama up among moderate/independent voters?

And what about the impact of the media love fest over Obama and homosexual marriage? To listen to the MSM and some liberal talking heads, you would swear that this election will be an Obama landslide.

If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say the stock market is a big factor. Dow 10K in November means a Romney landslide. Dow 15K in November means an Obama landslide. The majority of voters probably doesn’t follow politics. However, they do look at their 401(k) statements religiously.

Maybe it’s more MSM monkeyshines.

With a ‘clear’ Romney edge, a Conservative third party would be more likely. That would assure fighting chance for the the otherwise moribund, Liberal incumbent.

Beware!

Dow 15K in November means an Obama landslide

If the Dow is anywhere near 15k on November 1, I will short everything immediately, because the rise will be extremely fabricated. And, if Obama is re-elected, the stock market will come crashing down the day after.

1) America on balance does not like Gay Marriage (no matter what the media says)

2) America does not like the cheap shot at Romney over something that happened in high school half a century ago.

3) America is tiring of Obama and Axelrod deploying their Weapons of Mass Distraction at every turn.

They want to talk about the economy.

The more it looks like an Obamanation defeat the odds of a “national emergency” requiring a postponement of the election increase.

I dislike Willard very much.

But, a conservative friend pointed out that he’s much closer to our side than the anti-American kenyan fraud currently occupying the WH. So I have to vote for him if he’s the R nom.

“To listen to the MSM and some liberal talking heads, you would swear that this election will be an Obama landslide.”

And that’s exactly the preception that the MSM’s propaganda machine is trying to fabricate. You won’t hear much from them about the Rasmussen or Gallup data as these polls contradict the MSM’s narrative. As their boy falls further in the polls look for a desperate MSM to turn up the attack level with a major smear campaign on Romney, much like they did to Sarah Palin.

This election is not just about defeating Obama. It’s also about defeating the corrupt MSM.

Agree. I think most people are disgusted at this lame, irrelevant, and rather obvious attempt at belittling Romney. The liberal media just wants to divert attention away from all of Obama’s failures. I work around a bunch of liberals and even they are not enthusiastic about Obama.

I’ll celebrate when the votes are in, but this is a good indication that Obama is going down in flames!

Every day he does something that makes Romney more attractive to all voters....conservatives included.

Yes, the choice is pretty clear. It’s between electing a president or a dictator. And I don’t believe that’s an exaggeration.

Yeah, there’s something very ugly about Obama’s narcissistic obsession with himself and Americans of all stripes are growing weary of his unseemly personal attacks, political posturing, constant campaigning, and penchant for playing the blame game. Mitt simply needs to be the un-Obama and he will stand a good chance of winning. At least that’s what the polls seem to be indicating.

Who was the British parlimentarian, when challenged with, "I do not know if you will die of the pox or be hanged.", replied, "That depends on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress."
