IT'S OFFICIAL--John Boehner is stalling Fast and Furious contempt citation of Eric Holder
Coach is Right ^ | 5/13/2012 | Doug Book

If Darrell Issa has any thoughts of the full House voting on his Oversight Committee’s citation of contempt against Eric Holder, he will first have to clear the idea with the Attorney General’s staunchest allies and political defenders—Republican Speaker John Boehner, Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Republican Majority Whip, Kevin McCarthy.

Upon the Speaker’s office being provided a draft of the citation last week, a spokesman for the Republican leadership said “While there are very legitimate arguments to be made in favor of such an action, no decision has been made to move forward with one by the Speaker or by House Republican leaders.” (1)

But now it appears these stalwart souls have finally made that decision. They will “…slow [Issa’s] drive to hold the attorney general in contempt over the controversial Fast and Furious program…” for a period of “a month or even longer…” Apparently a year’s worth of testimony and documentation linking Obama Regime operatives to hundreds of deaths and the walking of some 2000 weapons across the Mexican border just haven’t been sufficient to convince Speaker Boehner that something is amiss. (2)

Republican leaders “…still don’t think the case is ‘rock solid…’ ” said an aide to...

This is typical Coach is Right BS. They take an article in Politico of all things and expand it to things the article itself doesn't even say, and ask us to accept as fact.

The Left has DU as their unsubstantiated nut blog. We have CiR.

This is way worse than Denny Hastert defending William Jefferson against the FBI raid of his office.

Jefferson was concealing bribe money, but Boehner is blocking an investigation into the death of a federal agent.

Hastert's defense of Jefferson was a contributing factor to the Republicans losing the House in 2006.

We can't let Boehner repeat history in 2012.

Boehner is a drunk; Is he a lush or an full blown alcoholic? I don’t know. What I do know is I have watched him many times on internet-casted speeches or pressers and he was hammered. It explains his crying (alcoholic depression), his overly sympathetic view of our opposition and his otherwise failure to perform. The man is compromised by hist vice and needs to go.

No kidding who cares about right and wrong when political leverage can be gained.

I’m sure the family of Brian Terry will understand.

I like the way you think. But why do I get the feeling Boner isn’t stalling for reasons you explain?

Does anyone think that he is delaying it to be closer to the election?

If he is, I am doubly pissed. I DO NOT want politics involved here simply because it might benefit the Republicans. Serious felonious activity took place driven by the United States Government; no politics, charges, prosecution and jail time, no matter what political party letter is after the charged persons name.

“Negroes, Blacks, African-Americans—whatever the term du jour—are not going to vote for a Republican candidate.”

So what are we going to do to change that? Everyone should be a small government conservative. Anything else will destroy our nation eventually. Everyone should know that.

Its not about them. Its about the whites who are easily made to feel guilty for being white.

Watching this play out has been frustrating, but you're making a lot of sense.

Voters need a steadily escalating barrage of disgust fomenting revelations right up to election day...especially the obama voters!

Those puppies made a mess on our WH carpet and need their noses rubbed in it!

Corrupt, abject failure of his oath and absolute failure as representative of the people of his state and a huge dishonor on this country. The Bonehead is corrupt!! What else will it take for his state to see that his career as a fixture in DC is a negative for the rule of law? It’s sad that that description of the Bonehead fits most of our elected representatives in DC.

Even if a contempt citation is issued against Holder, does that have any significance?

He’ll have it framed and hanging in a place of honor on his office wall within the hour.

Then what?

That’s right. The Tea Party should be seeking good candidates against Boehner.

Boehner and Issa talk tough but they will never actually do what needs to be done.

He might be impeached, but there isnt a snowballs chance in hell he would be convicted. NONE, NADA.

So the whole Dam thing would be a waste of time and money.

Holder is another matter. He can be removed and it would do serious damage to the democrats. August or October is the proper timing. Drag the whole thing out through the general elections.
