Recovering God’s Stolen Rainbow

The celebration clamoring of the radical homosexual Left has reached an ecstatic, fever pitch since last Wednesday when Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) made history with his shameful pronouncement that he believes people of the same sex should be able to get “married.” Never mind that a marriage union between people of the same sex is impossible in every way. Just the fact that he made this wicked declaration should be enough to make even the most strident Obama supporter say, “Huh?” Well, in theory it should, but I do not underestimate the density of the mind of a “true believer” in Obama.

Never before in American history could we imagine a president saying such an atrocious thing, but I guess by now we should not be surprised at anything that comes out of Obama’s mouth.

Since he made that statement on the day after the residents of North Carolina voted to define true marriage in their state constitution, all over the Internet and even in a cover story in Newsweek magazine, Obama is being pictured adorned with rainbows. The rainbow, one of the most beautiful and glorious things on God’s Earth, has been hijacked by the demonic forces of Hell in the radical homosexual movement to be used as a symbol for sodomy. I am certain that the significance of the choice of the rainbow is lost on many people in that movement, but it is most certainly not lost on the demonic hordes that inspired the theft in the first place.

Let’s look at the circumstances in which the rainbow first appeared in our world. In Genesis, chapter 6, we see God, having given man free will, was deeply saddened that man had turned completely to evil, even though the Lord knew this would be the case from before the dawn of time. God determined to obliterate all life from the face of the Earth—everything that has breath.

Noah was the one man who found grace in God’s sight, the one man righteous before God, and so the Lord instructed Noah to build the ark. God also told Noah to bring aboard pairs of every kind of animal and a larger number of pairs of certain clean (food) animals. In all the pairs of animals (and of the pairs of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives), one was to be male and one female, his mate. Noah was to bring the male and female of each species in order to ensure the future propagation of all the animals in the world. If Noah had only brought male creatures, or only females, after those creatures died there would be no more animals on the face of the Earth. There was no homosexuality in Noah’s ark.

Once Noah had his family and all the creatures aboard the ark, the Bible states in Genesis 7:11-12,

“In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.”

Although we do not know for certain, there is no indication in previous verses that it had ever rained on Earth before this time. The Bible indicates there were waters on the Earth—the sea—and there was a river that flowed out of the Garden of Eden and split into four major rivers, but there is no prior mention of rain.

After the forty days and nights of flooding rains and fountains, in which the water level was 22 ½ feet above the highest mountain peak on Earth, and after every living being on the face of the Earth had died, and only Noah and his family and the creatures in the ark remained alive, the waters on the Earth remained for one-hundred-fifty days.

Then the Lord sent the wind to blow away the waters and dry the world, and He stopped the fountains of the deep and the rain from heaven. Noah left the ark and built an altar and made an animal sacrifice to the Lord, and then God made a covenant, as recorded in Genesis 9:9-17. In the King James translation, the Lord calls the rainbow His “bow,” as He tells Noah and his family,

“9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.”

At this point, I can already hear the materialistic declarations that the rainbow is merely a naturally occurring, scientific phenomenon. I can hear the “logical” explanations of chromatic dispersions, light refraction and prismatic displays of sunlight in water droplets. Yes, I can hear many people trying to explain away the plain truth of the origin of the rainbow. But, the rainbow is the sign of a sacred covenant between God and the people and creatures on the face of the Earth, and no sodomite thieves will ever be able to change that truth.

Over the weekend, my husband told me about a WND column written by Pastor Ken Hutcherson—“The Hutch”—taking on the homosexual hijacking of the word “gay.” I love The Hutch, who is a former NFL linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks and now a church pastor, and each year I look forward to his pre-Super Bowl appearance on Rush Limbaugh’s show to discuss his thoughts on the two teams.

As I did research and wrote today’s column, I read The Hutch’s article and was astonished that he mentioned my exact thoughts on the hijacking of the word “gay” and the image of the rainbow by the homosexual movement. The Hutch nails it in his column, and in it he also linked to his WND column titled, “Let’s Take Back the Rainbow!” It is another right-on-the-money piece, and in both of those articles, he says it better than I ever could.

His two current columns on these subjects are must-reads. They are messages encouraging Christians to wake up, stand up and take back the true meaning of the word “gay,” and to take back the rainbow as the divine symbol of God’s great mercy and promise that it is.

Unless I am quoting others, I do not use the word “gay” when referring to homosexuality, because it is a lie. Homosexuals are not “gay;” they are sexual deviants caught up in a miserable behavior addiction which is very difficult to escape, though escape is possible.

I will close with a passage from The Hutch’s WND column, “Let’s Take Back the Rainbow,”

“So what is it going to take to wake up this sleeping beauty known as the Bride of Christ? Do we not see what is at stake? Don’t we understand that if our symbols can be hijacked, so too can everything else we hold dear? The rainbow is only one example of many where the church has passively sat by and allowed others to redraw lines on the playing field. Linguistic redistricting is a pet peeve of mine, so don’t even get me started about terms like ‘tolerance,’ ‘justice’ and ‘love.’ Those fish will be fried at a later date. But for now, I have a simple proposition: Let’s take the rainbow back.

Yes, let’s take back the rainbow for God. Let the homosexual community find a different religious symbol to commandeer. If they were feeling congenial, perhaps the Muslims would let them borrow their crescent moon. In these desperate economic times, maybe the Wiccans would rent the pentagram to them. I don’t really care. What I want is for the Christian community to wake up, wipe the sleep from their eyes, and realize that they are in a spiritual battle that isn’t going away and has no demilitarized zones. The rainbow is a symbol, but it’s meaning points to the very character of God. So Christians …use this God-given symbol for His glory. Using it won’t make you a homosexual. It won’t make you a New Ager. It won’t make leprechauns real. But it might allow you to get into conversations with people who need to meet the very One Who gave us His promise in the first place.

Is it time for another Telemachus, the monk who tried to stop the gladiator fights taking place in Rome? In the process, Telemachus was stoned to death on Jan. 1, A.D. 404. However, from that day on, there was never another gladiator fight in Rome.

Martin Luther King stood up to make the issue black and white. We as Christians have watered down the truth and are trying to make it purple and pink.

Is it time for us to change history? Let’s take back the rainbow!”

Amen, The Hutch!

I read the article at the blog too.

Thanks for posting in full as I wouldn’t have had the pleasure of reading it otherwise.

The word "pride" is also undergoing a transformation

The neat part is, pride is a sin. They are trying to co-opt a sin word. LOL on them.

Broke up a pair, did he.....hope he brought extras.

JUST kidding.....hold the rocks and rotten tomatoes.

LOL! No need for rocks when the facts will do: Those creatures were in pairs after all, and they were on the Ark a long time. Time enough to create their own extras!

"Noah left the ark and built an altar and made an animal sacrifice to the Lord..."

"Broke up a pair, did he.....hope he brought extras."

The answer to your question is found in Genesis 7:1-2 (Emphasis added):

1. Then the LORD said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time.

2. “You shall take with you of every CLEAN ANIMAL BY SEVENS, a male and his female; and of the animals that are NOT CLEAN TWO two..."

The answer to your question is simple; Noah was instructed to take SEVEN pair of each of the animals that were denoted as "clean" into the ark and thus provision was made by God for an added number of clean animals necessary for sacrifice. So while one mating pair of animals was broken up, there was an abundant supply of "extras" as it were.

No stones... just biblically answering your question.

Plus, they were in the ark the better part of a year, so there were likely some “extras” born during that time.

The rainbow, one of the most beautiful and glorious things on God’s Earth, has been hijacked by the demonic forces of Hell in the radical homosexual movement to be used as a symbol for sodomy.

It's also pretty, colorful, and draws in the innocent children who don't understand the hijacking that has occurred, nor what it represents.

They've been using it as bait...

Thank you for your kind words. Although every blogger likes hits, I’d rather see good discussion on topics that are of importance to us all, here on FR. I am glad to be a part of this site and feel welcomed by all.

Gina deserves much credit for writing some thought-provoking pieces...even after being removed from the airwaves by a liberal-fearing corporate management team. Keep upt he good work, Gina!!
