SANFORD, Fla. -- Court records show George Zimmerman had a pair of black eyes, a nose fracture and two cuts to the back of his head after the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
The attorney for Martin's parents, Natalie Jackson, is questioning the release of the medical records Tuesday that prosecutors have in the second-degree murder case against Zimmerman.
Jackson said she feels the report was leaked to try and help Zimmerman's defense, but Zimmerman's lawyer denies any involvement.
"Did your office leak that to make Mr. Zimmerman look better?" reporter Bob Kealing asked Mark O'Mara, Zimmerman's lawyer.
"Absolutely not," said O'Mara.
Zimmerman claims that Martin punched him in the face and started slamming his head on the ground.
"In defending him in public like this you're painting Trayvon who was a kid walking home from the store as an aggressive thug, which he was not," said Jackson.
Jackson also questions why Zimmerman went to a family doctor the day after the incident rather than to the emergency room the night of Feb. 26.
The report indicates that Zimmerman was treated Feb. 27 at Altamonte Family Practice.
Jackson said the medical report does not include X-rays or an MRI to confirm the injuries.
"Where are those objective reports?" Jackson said. "Not there. We know from the video taken 30 minutes after the incident there wasn't even a bandage on his head."
O'Mara said he won't comment on the medical report or the state's evidence, but did say he shared some of the information with Zimmerman.
"I now have a bit of a road map to know where I am going," said O'Mara. "Now I get started on the real work."
According to the medical report, Zimmerman was on two prescription drugs the night of the shooting.
Martin's camp said it wonders if the medication could have resulted in mood swings or paranoia.
Can I make an observation about legal process?
This medical report was produced as part of “discovery”, a part of a legal case in which both sides bring in evidence, and show the court, the other side, and the public, what evidence there is in a case.
I am not a lawyer, so someone correct or explain in more detail if needed. But, the point is, this medical report is part of legal discovery, and is a matter of legal record in these court proceedings. Any discussion of someone leaking it to the media doesn’t make sense to me.
As many as want to get rich off of the shake-down in civil trials (which, right now is Crump and Jackson - two lawyers known for their racially-based shake-downs for money). That’s what this has always been about for these lawyers, which is why they said they just wanted an arrest. An arrest, if the case isn’t thrown out, is all it takes to allow them to file a civil lawsuit and get big bucks.
All of them.
Will Trayvon vote for Obama in November?
Angela Corey should be NIFONGED?
“Will Trayvon vote for Obama in November?”
At least twice.
I wonder if he is Mormon yet?
If the medical report was produced as part of discovery, then Zimmerman’s lawyer pushed the thing and he did it rightly so.
I was sued once.
We asked for discovery and the case was dropped like a hot potato

Actually a jury gets to make that decision not you.. And facts are facts regardless of your liking them or not...
THIS REPORT DOES NOT FIT THE Democrat/Media-approved CURRENT TRUTH! It must be suppressed!
I thought Obama said we get to keep our doctors.
Discovery is fun. One of my fondest memories ever. I like depositions too.
I believe he was questioned for HOURS. After such an event....you want to be with your family.....not in a hospital....unless absolutely necessary.
We know that Mr. Zimmerman was treated at the scene. The report said that Mr.Zimmerman had black eyes. That would have shown up well after Mr. Zimmerman was attacked. Surley someone took photos.
