Scott Walker Poised to Defeat Unions - a Second Time

Everyone likes a winner ... even impending ones. That's certainly the case for Wisconsin's Gov. Scott Walker. Although the liberal-leaning Milwaukee Sentinel's lead Sunday editorial expressed squeamishness over Walker's hobbling of cheesehead public employees, the newspaper admitted that Act 10, "-the law that clipped the wings of most public-employee unions in the state -was an overreach of political power, we understand and support the need to rein in the state's labor costs. Municipalities and school districts as well as the state needed more control over their budgets, which Act 10 provided."

The Sentinel also noted that a Marquette Law School Poll taken last January found that Wisconsinites want to keep Gov. Walker right where he is: "72% of Republicans, 44% of independents and 17% of Democrats said recalls should be limited to criminal wrongdoing."

In other words, the public doesn't think political opposition to the bureaucratic state rises to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors.

To hear union organizers and their oily supporters tell it, attempting to control the cost of government and to curtail the power of state employees over the lives of citizens (and voters) is a crime against humanity.

"I mean, the guy sucks," said MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz of Gov. Walker, "He's terrible. The people of Wisconsin can't stand this guy. He's going in the wrong direction ... the middle-class in Wisconsin used to be very strong and now they're out to prove that they still are. And the governor is already feeling the heat."

When Progressives like Schultz speak of the "middle-class" they really mean pampered government employees.

Just in passing, a new Rasmussen poll finds that 64% of "likely U.S. voters" prefer fewer government services and lower taxes.

When European socialists speak of "economic growth" they mean in government "stimulus" spending. After trillions of dollars wasted on bailouts, stimulus and "green jobs," even the most jaded American is beginning to realize that entrepreneurs create sustainable economic growth and create jobs.

The Milwaukee Sentinel editorial added,  "Walker's zeal to give governments more control over their destinies was, we believe, matched only by his zeal to deal a harsh blow to a key Democratic constituency. That has made him a national hero to Republicans."

And, they forgot to add, a majority of Wisconsinites regardless of party affiliation.

Go Wisconsin!

Looking for a conservative hero? Here he is: Walker.
We won’t find them at the national level for sure.

If Scott Walker wins this one, and then goes on to deliver his state for Romney in November, he will have earned himself the title of “contender” in 2020 - or maybe even 2016.

Today the Milwaukee Journal endorsed Scott Walker, which has left me stunned. The editorial board at the paper did a decent job explaining their position. Their basic position is that this recall should of never happened. So here we are a year later, millions in cost, civil war across the state. To quote the Unions...”This is what change looks like!"

I only worked for one company that had union workers. They SUCKED. Every thing everyone one else did was subject to a possible union grievance: things like moving your trash can or desk. The work they did really, really sucked. It took the BASTURD UAW workers over 6 months to deliver equipment and when we finally got it we found some did not work, but the warranty had expired. I had very hard work hours, 80-90 hours a week for over 6 months to make up the schedule loss. I had to do this to make up the schedule these BASTURDS cost me when we could go over to shipping and recieving and see the equipment, but could not pick it up. How I would like to meet them today in private!

This all sounds nice, but I am not letting my guard down. the dems will come out with every trick in the book. We need to call everyone we know and tell them they must get out and vote. this is not over until it is over.

“Wisconsin Lady”, you are right on the money. We must work to get every voter in Wisconsin to come out and vote to retain Governor Scott Walker. While any margin of victory for Walker is acceptable, a landslide defeat by Walker will devastate both Obama and the Democrat Party, not only in Wisconsin, but...across the entire country. We cannot afford to let up on our campaign for a massive Walker victory. Wisconsin, Save Our Blessed Nation!!! Vote for Scott Walker!!!

Or he could make an independant run.

People really opposed to abortion, the government promotion of homosexuality, and the government takeover of healthcare won't vote for Romney even if the Democrats are running O'bonghit again, so we might as well have a potential candidate for 2016 in the mix to catch that vote.

"I mean, the guy sucks," said MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz of Gov. Walker...

What passes for thoughtful insight and debate on the left.

Ed Schultz is notorious for having a short fuse. It will be great fun watching him from Wisc that election night.

Looking for a conservative hero? Here he is: Walker.

Indeed Governor Scott Walker represents the very best virtues of Constitutional Christian Conservatism. He's done great things for Wisconsin and is poised, on the national stage, to restore American Greatness.

If he's able to take what he's done to the next level and transform the Badger State into another liberty-loving Right to Work State (as happened recently with Indiana), there's no stopping Governor Walker.

On Wisconsin, get 'er done!

I might be all wet, but I’m thinking that if Walker wins BIG in WI on June 5th; Obama loses BIG in WI on November 6th. Am I right or wrong; anybody?

When this election is over and he succeeds in beating the recall, how long before the union challenges and the court judges trying to nullify the election? I hope this doesn’t happen but I don’t put it past the liberal slime.
