Thank you all, it still says my wireless has been disabled....I just can’t get into a place to correct the problem. Lan or Wlan....whatever that is doesn’t give me the option. My switch on this HP is at the top of the keys next to the on/off switch. Right now it is an orange color & if I push on it, nothing happens. I think I accidentally turned it off when I was deleting some recent additions I had made. I was afraid I had removed the whole wireless option, is that possible?

So here’s another trick but you have to be confident in your abilities to recover. However, at this point it’s probably moot.

I’ve had things like this happen and here is how I resolved it:

Go to “Device Manager” and open it.

Then look down to “Network Adapters”

Double click it and two adapters will show up. An Ethernet adapter and a Wireless Adapter.

Right Click on Wireless Adapter and here you will have some options:

Update Driver Software
Disable
Uninstall

1st I’d update the driver if possible. If you can’t don’t worry about it.

Next, I’d go ahead and disable the Wireless Adapter, then reboot.

Upon full reboot(go get a cup of coffee) I’d go back to Device Manager, look down at Network Adapters, On the Wireless Adapter Right Click, “Enable” and again reboot(get more coffee)

See if that works, if it doesn’t then you want uninstall the Wireless Network Adapter and reinstalling it as simple as going back to Device Manager, Right Click on Network Adapters, Scan for Hardware changes and eventually it will find your Wireless Adapter and you can reinstall it.

If none of those work, it’s beyond my capabilities to help as I would need to be in front of your computer to diagnose/repair it.
