This article, A Shrink Asks: What's Wrong with Obama? doesn't provide a very good psychological analysis, but it mentions this much, which is worth considering to get to the correct conclusion about Barack Obama:
Obama himself is a strange bird. He doesn't fit easily into any diagnostic category. Many people attribute Obama's oddness to his narcissism. True, Obama has a gargantuan ego, and he is notoriously thin-skinned. Yet a personality disorder like narcissism does not explain Obama's strangeness: his giggling while being asked about the economy; his continuing a shout-out rather than announcing the Ft. Hood shootings; or his vacations, golfing, partying and fundraising during the calamitous oil spill.
Take also Obama's declaring on the "Today Show" that he wants to know whose ass to kick. Consummate narcissists would never stoop to this vulgar display of adolescent machismo.
Obama is flat when passion is needed; he's aggressive when savvy is required. What's most worrisome is that Obama doesn't even realize that his behavior is inappropriate."
The author is correct: despite all the claims that Obama is a narcissist, that designation is completely wrong as an identification. Narcissism is "excessive self-love". There's nothing about himself that Obama loves, and nothing worth being excessive about; he is dominated by a well-earned self-loathing.
The meaning of that is significant, and not to be dismissed as a harmless aberration. Quoting John Galt in Atlas Shrugged,

Except for the businessman, Obama is all of these (and he deals with those kinds of businessmen -- the George Soros / Warren Buffett / Solyndra variety).
The real reason many people promote the narcissist term -- aside from ignorance of what it means -- is that they want to denigrate self-interest as such and attack such self-respect as any man or woman may have earned for themselves.
The article goes on to examine Obama's dysfunctional childhood and ask if there's some blame there for what he's become, but no definitive conclusions are offered.
The answer, in my opinion, starts with the one I've given for years: Obama is a megalomaniacal power-luster:

Consider that monster designation — as the old Jesuit saying goes, "Give me a child for the first seven years and you may do what you like with him afterwards." His parents, grandparents, mentors, associates—had Obama for an entire lifetime.

He'll take orders!"
I would agree 100% except I don’t think he was made into monster.
I think he is a natural-born a monster who was trained to be an übermonster.
That is the scariest thing I have read in a long time. And, considering how many scary things have been happening the last couple years, that’s saying a lot.
The only important concern is the stage of tyranny at which a substantial number of citizens will declare, “No more.”

Sounds plausible. I sometimes think amphetamines or cocaine could explain the ups and downs and flats and peaks of his behavior.

According to Obama himself. He mentions in his own writings a friend of his grandfather by the name of Frank, who is certainly Frank Marshal Davis, a known communist with an FBO jacket. Frank had Commie friends, all commies have commie friends, it goes with the territory.

BHO2 is a liar. He lies about damned near everything. Since William Ayers has acknowledged writing BHO2’s first ‘autobiography’, I also assume the story of Frank Marshall Davis is more apocryphal than true.
Stanley Armour Dunham was a Quartermaster in the Army Air Force during WWII, and his wife, Madilyn Paine Dunham, worked on a Boeing B-29 assembly line in Wichita, Kansas. These were church-going people, Methodists, I believe.
There is a family portrait of Stanley Armour, Madilyn, and Stanley Ann which was taken about when Ann was 10-years old. Stanley Ann is dressed in a private girl’s school uniform and perched on a sofa arm next to her Dad while her Mom is on the other side of him. Stanley Armour is dressed in a well-tailored suit (fine suiting material; it drapes well) and Madilyn is dressed in a very elegant, close-fitting high necked, full sleeved dress made of burnt-out silk velvet - very expensive material even today.
The school uniform is that of a private girl’s school in Beirut, Lebanon, and the clothing of Mr.and Mrs. Dunham is very expensive for a couple working as a fruniture salesman and a bank escrow officer in Kansas but this type of dress would not have been out of place in Beirut, 1952. It is far more likely that Stanley Armour Dunham worked in some capacity for the U.S.Government and was stationed in the embassy in Lebanon.
Now, does that sound like commie chums to you?
The State Department during that time was FILLED with commies. Actually, your theory fits perfectly with the Dunham family were commies theory.
Perhaps the Obama Joker poster was more accurate than we initially thought? He knows he's a monster, he knows the people who have been using him have been covering for him, to conceal from the world just how unexceptional his intellect is. He just wants to bring it all down.
Their lifestyle would not fit that of a government employee in the 1950's. At least not for somebody only getting checks from the UNITED STATES government.

I used to work for the Navy Security Group as a linguist and cryptanalyst, working a desk involved in North African, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern intelligence. A part of my job involved reading reports from various intelligence agencies, some of which were military, others not.
This is really dicey, as I cannot directly tell you how and what I know from my experience in government, but I can tell you an experience I had afterwards.
About ten years after I was honorably discharged, one of my civilian coworkers, a naturalized citizen originally from an equitorial African nation, told me how the U.S. government treated him when he attended university in the U.S. He was squired around at U.S. expense, and shown all the great things and places that existed in the U.S. He was so impressed he told them he was applying for naturalization. The Feds tried to talk him out of it, but he went ahead and the velvet gloved treatment ended abruptly.
Later, when he paid a visit to his folks back in the old country, he happened to encounter one of his former classmates from university. This former classmate told him the U.S. government pressured him to work as an intelligence asset for them when he returned and acquired a government job, but he refused.
By the way, my coworker is a conservative Republican and applied for, and was accepted, to Navy OCS (Officers Candidate School). He is now a Naval Officer and a licensed engineer.

Are you assuming that we should dismiss all of the domestic chatter in Obama’s bios? His grandparents were active in leftist social circles. That is independently verified by their Unitarian connections. His grandfather was best friends with a pedophile who was a card carrying Communist. These were O’s primary influence during his teen years. I will have to do a bit of digging but I remember references to his Grandmother as a communist sympathizer.

Absolutely! I have noticed over the past four years that whenever BHO2 says something, we can all expect the opposite to be true. Haven’t you noticed that? And as for the Unitarian Church, why wouldn’t they lie if threatened or worse, agree with BHO2’s agenda?
Stanley Armour Dunham died 20-years ago. He is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl Memorial Cemetery), which serves as a memorial to those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces. It doesn’t mean he wasn’t a communist but it does mean he was a patriot. And THAT is, to me, the spark to Obama’s burning hatred.
The family mentioned in BHO2’s biography are, by the most part, all dead. His grandparents, parents, and stepfather are not here to dispute the autobiography. BHO2 can say anything he wants, correct?
Pertinent facts to me: BHO2 hates the United States. He hates white people. He is a Marxist-Leninist and an atheist (he is only Muslim or Christian when it is politcally expedient) - so he hates all forms of religion and faith, and hates capitalism. His grandparents are white, grandpa is a military vet and grandma is a vice president of a bank. American, white, and capitalist serving plus they were church going folks. His hatred burns hot.
The shrink who wrote the article got this fact perfectly - BHO2 is self-loathing. BHO2’s comment about abortion, “I don’t want my daughhters punished with a baby,..” is truly unfinished, as I believe he meant to add “...like my mother.”
Barack H. Obama Sr. was deported. He was kicked out of Harvard for reasons that to me are ridiculous because being a womanizer is no crime. But if that behavior might make you blackmailable in the future, say by the KGB, then yeah, I can see why Obama Sr. was booted.
The Dunhams paid a high price. I believe that Stanley Ann met both her future husbands through her father. Unfortunately, she probably trusted BHO when she should not have and allowed herself to be seduced. She became pregnant and that put her father in a terrible predicament.
Her parents cajoled BHO into marrying their daughter and they paid for the trip to Kenya. Perhaps it was their idea or maybe it was their daughters; but she went to Kenya with the objective of persuading the Luo tribe to take the baby. They said NO! By the time she decided to return to Hawaii her pregnancy was too far along and BOAC said she couldn’t fly out of Nairobi.
Theirs was not a love match. She never met up again with BHO until 1971 in Hawaii, and her body language is, well, emphatically negative. This particularly makes me believe he raped her in November of 1960.
So, no one wanted little Barry - not his grandparents, not his mother, his father, not even his tribe.
No wonder he hates himself! The only person who probably showed any interest in him as a small child was Lolo Soetoro, his stepfather/adopted dad later in Indonesia. And that did not end well, either.
I'm not quite convinced about Grandpa Dunham not being a Communist, but I agree with you about the likely source of his inner rage.
Barry was not wanted by his mom. As soon as Ann and Lolo had their new baby Maya, when Barry was 9, they made plans to ship Barry back to the US the following year. They had no time for him and no interest in him (at least that is how a 10 year old would see it). That had to have scarred him badly.
So glad I asked. The aprobation sociopath fits your thesis nicely. Barry is a Manchurian candidate without compare. It is remarkable that the worse one can imagine about Obama turns out to be incomplete and insufficient. He is so much worse than can be imagined.
This could explain why the marriage foundered. Nothing can damage a marital relationship quicker than an emotionally damaged stepchild. But it is only speculation on my part.
That would also explain why the hurried exodus of 10-year old Barry from Indonesia, his status as an Indonesian refugee, and the rush to annul the adoption. These were efforts to put him beyond the reach of Indonesian authorities. There does exist an INS file for Barry Soetoro, subpoenaed for a courts martial but ultimately denied by Homeland Security. Note: when BHO2 received an American passport as part of his Senate election, he said it was the first time he had ever had an American passport. So, how did he travel to Asia prior to becoming a Senator? He used an Indonesian passport. It is certainly suspect, that he is still an Indonesian citizen.
I've always suspected that the secret to BHO2 lies in Indonesia, the place of his formative years. There must be a reason why the Democratic Party, in the summer of 2007, sent a member to Jakarta to buy up all BHO2’s records and family photographs. See:

I just haven’t kept up with this issue as I should have. This shouldn’t have been a surprise to me. I have neglected this issue of obvious treason and destruction of the Constitution.
