Understand that this is not a firm story. Not like DC Comics renumbering all their New DCU comics to issues zero through September, say.
This is based on a number of well sourced people and involves considerable hearsay.
It does however make a lot of sense.
Who is the, as yet unknown gay character being reintroduced to the DC Comics superhero titles? Male, an iconic character, someone who would become one of DC’s most prominent gay characters?
I’m hearing that it’s Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern.

The original green lantern had a girlfriend and he ultimatly married her. (I believe two characters were his children (obsidian?))
Every website has restated this story with a new victim. batman, superman, and now original green lantern.
His weakness was wood btw. THERE are going to be a plethora of wood jokes if this pans out.
Are they renaming Kato to Gayto?

Well, okay, I didn't exactly predict this, but I did mention Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow in my posts here.
You had to figure it was a second-tier or third-tier superhero, not Superman or Batman, but somebody who was almost forgotten nowadays.
Of those I mentioned, Green Arrow was the most obscure and forgotten, and thus the most likely to be resurrected in this way.
But this gives Green Arrow relationship with his youthful sidekick Speedy (and they all had youthful sidekicks or onetime selves in those days) a disturbing turn.
Huh, I thought it would turn out to be Doc Silly Savage.
so then there will be shaft jokes? bow jokes? not so straight arrow jokes?
Your premise does keep with the homosexuals’ practice of claiming the dead.
Meanwhile; the cover of Astonishing X-Men #51 portrays an inter-racial ‘wedding’ between two sodomites...that will be released in a couple of weeks. There are images ‘out there’ at some of the comic forums...

that could be the reason to pick him, as the left likes to coat their bs with humor to get the populace to go along with it
simple solution. contact DC and explain that you will no longer allow your kids to read their comics. any comic that feels it needs to indoctrinate children with their pedo friendly bs doesn’t deserve your money.
also tell them you will be encouraging other parents to do the same.
