The life of a true American hero - a husband, a father, a man of unyielding faith and courage. Fearless and selfless, with the ability to do anything, Adam Brown, above anything, exemplified the American spirit.
See on screen link for PART 2.
Dear Lord, this is an epic, stunning story of a truly heroic and awesome man and warrior. Huckabee had segments with author Eric Blehm of the book about Adam, "Fearless," (description here) and another SEAL team member, and with Adam's wonderful parents and wife on last night with more background on this valiant and courageous man, including that he'd unbelievably been a crack addict, jailed several times, got clean after recommitting to God and his family, and not only was accepted in the Navy, but incredibly attained his goal of becoming a Navy SEAL .. and was a member of SEAL Team Six. The awesomeness of our military is beyond humbling and jaw dropping. We so blessed, as the author says, with the great gift of these selfless patriot warriors, these valiant men and women.
God shine His love, comfort and peace on Adam's dear family and bless and protect all our precious military and their families.
There are no words that I could write that could express the true feeling that I have for this great man and his family!
It just stops you cold .. the complete bravery and devotion... doesn’t it? God love him and all who willingly give everything for us. My pile of tissues have grown ..
This is a razorback forum post from last year: folks from his hometown, many who know the family and knew him, talking about Adam and the documentary.
Ping for home
No greater Love than to lay down one’s life for others. I know is family, although grieving, have to be so proud of this special man
Blehm describes the brief exchangeMan, Dave said, I dont understand how you can do what we do and be religious. One, Im spiritual, not religious, Adam replied. And two, I cant believe you can do what we do and not be.
I think that, perhaps, if people were more spiritual, rather than religious, there would be the unity that we NEED in America to defend freedom from so many threats.
Instead, unfortunately, "Christians" seem to spend most of their time determining how people who don't EXACTLY agree with them are going to hell.
Jesus weeps, and Muslims and Leftists laugh their asses off.
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, dont deal in lies,
Or being hated, dont give way to hating,
And yet dont look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream and not make dreams your master;
If you can think and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth youve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: Hold on!
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything thats in it,
And which is more youll be a Man, my son!
So, after learning the scope of the life of this great hero, your focus is to criticize religion and Christianity .... (in NO snarky quotes) ..? Weirdness ...
One can only imagine the bravery of this soldier. Only a handful of people have the guts to do what he did.
