Reputed Gambino associate Christopher Colon was sentenced yesterday to eight years in prison, and at the hearing a federal prosecutor said the mob enforcer once brought his two-month-old infant son along on a job as reported by the Daily News:

The Gambino family goon used a bat to threaten both the debtor and a neighbor who had tried to intervene, prosecutor Elie Honig said. Then he hit the neighbor with his car, breaking the man's ankle and clavicle. "The fact that he had his son in the car at the time speaks to an alarming lack of control," Honig said of Colon.

Colon pleaded guilty last February "to racketeering conspiracy, distribution of ecstasy, operation of illegal gambling business, extortion and three assaults in connection with racketeering activity." He was among the reputed Italian and Russian mobsters charged last November with allegedly trafficking women from Russia and Eastern Europe on fraudulent visas to perform in New York City strip clubs.

During yesterday's sentencing hearing the tough guy apparently sobbed like a baby in his unsuccessful bid for leniency which "forced a brief interruption" of the proceeding as reported by Bruce Golding for the New York Post.

“Reputed Gambino associate”

Associate? What does he do, work for Wal-mart? This guy’s job title is something more akin to “thug”.

Did he leave the 2 month old in the car b itself, or was someone with the baby when he went inside?
