Democrats are fond of a few positions concerning religion. They like to claim there is no way for politics and religion to mix unless it mixes in a church full of
Democrat supporters. Another favorite line is that anyone who points to Democrat attacks on religion is either unqualified to do so or a wild eyed Evangelical bible thumper.
As a life long Christian I am qualified to point to the Democrats and challenge their Christianity. Democrats, get over yourself about this.
Democrats use their surrogates in the ACLU to attack religions (except Islam which they are too frightened of to go after) in general and Christianity in particular.
It was Democrats that passed Obamacare and it is Democrats that are using it to bludgeon Christians into changing our principles to suit Democrat principles. No other political Party has ever warred on religious freedom as Democrats are doing today.
Democrats include those who worship “Mother Earth” and prefer “GOV” over GOD every time. Christians do not.

Christian’s sin and it is not our place to question one’s salvation. Also, all sin is equal in God’s eyes, so the “little” sin is equal to the “big” sin; the thing that makes the difference is conviction and repentance.
Long story short, yes a Christian can be a Democrat, or at least vote for one (or a RINO, or Romney,or whomever); making a mistake. Now do I think the life long fruits of Liberals and Democrats bear witness to a God honoring lifestyle; not by a long shot.
Full disclosure; I am a Christian; going on 5 years, and I sin daily; sometimes knowingly. My lifestyle is not always God honoring. I am a hypocrite in God’s eyes; and for this I am convicted daily. I couldn’t wake up,get out of bed, and go through my daily life without His grace, and for that I am grateful.
Your attitude is correct but Christians who stay Democrats with the current state of the party are in a state of outright rebellion and abuse God’s grace. If they have a sensitive consience they would leave that party.

I remember the day my Grandfather, a lifelong loyal Democrat and quite active in the local party, came to this conclusion.
I walked into his kitchen and saw him sitting there, pale as a ghost, with a number of empty beer bottles strewn across the table. I asked what was wrong and he told me that he had come to the conclusion that this Carter guy had screwed-up the country so badly with the foreign policy weakness, the welfare, the abortions and general moral decline...that he had no choice but to vote for this Reagan fellow.
Any like-minded Democrat with a conscience came to this same conclusion years ago, and is now either an Independent or a Republican.
