A Florida man was bombarded with menacing messages and death threats after he was mistakenly given George Zimmermans former cell phone number.
Junior Alexander Guy, 49, signed up for his first phone with T-Mobile last month and quickly started receiving a barrage of abusive voicemail messages.
You murderer! one anonymous caller said.
You deserve to die! charged another.
Guy, who served 19-years in state prison on a cocaine trafficking charge, was baffled by the calls until he realized his new number was the same one used by the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot and killed teenager Trayvon Martin in February.
Zimmermans digits were made public when a recording of his 911 call was released and widely circulated online.
At 2 oclock, 3 oclock in the morning I kept getting these, Guy told the Orlando Sentinel.
I was not only afraid for my life, I was afraid for my mothers.
Guy says he received up to 70 harassing phonecalls and moved out of his home and relocated his mother for fear of reprisals.
His lawyer, Robert Trimble, is seeking undisclosed damages from T-Mobile but the company has refused.
Theyre not looking to provide my client any compensation for what theyve exposed him to," Trimble told the Orlando Sentinel.
This was Guys first cell phone and after realizing the error, T-Mobile immediately issued a new number and put Zimmermans old one out of service, company spokesman Glenn Zaccara said.
The cell phone giant also gave Guy an account credit and waived his early termination fee, according to reports.
Zimmerman, 28, is in jail awaiting trial on a second-degree murder charge.
Why aren’t the police tracking down the callers, and charging them with uttering threats?
A couple of other threads on the subject if anyone is interested in the comments thereon.

You’ve been here since 2001, so I assume you know how this website works, right? When you go to post a thread, you search for the title/headline. You don’t look for similar articles by different sources, you look for the same exact article.
So you’re angry that other threads have been posted?
See post #3.
Same info.
Why aren’t you crying about that?
You always bring down the average intelligence of the posters on this site by a large amount. I have yet to see you add anything useful. What an angry asshat you must be in real life.
Thanks deport, that’s a helpful way of pointing out related threads.
I just added the exact same info as in post #3.
Why aren't you wetting yourself over that post?

That's similar to what folks thought about your sister down at the Icehouse.
Does anyone else see the irony here?

I thought the same...
Wonder how many of these ‘calls’ were/are from the playmates he spent the 19 years with.
Don’t think it (his getting) was done on purpose, do you?
Of course that isn’t irony, that is of a conspiracy nature. <: <: <:
Because they stated they were other threads about the same subject and I/we might be interested in the comments there, you implied that I was either too stupid or lazy to do a search before I posted a thread. If I misunderstood you, I apologize.

If he dialed *69 he could have gotten the numbers and turned them over to the police.
