NY principal: 'God Bless the USA' offensive, Bieber’s 'Baby' acceptable for kindergarteners

A Coney Island [Brooklyn, New York] principal has pulled Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” from a kindergarten “moving up” ceremony, out of concern that Greenwood’s patriotic song was age-inappropriate and potentially offensive.

“We don’t want to offend other cultures,” teachers quoted Greta Hawkins, the principal of the Edna Cohen School, as saying to defend her decision to nix “God Bless the USA” from the ceremony, the New York Post reports.

Greenwood’s song had been sung at previous school functions, and students in five classes reportedly spent months rehearsing for the moving up ceremony.

Department of Education spokeswoman Jessica Scaperotti told the Post that the song was indeed “too grown up” for the young students slated to be singing.

From the NY Post:

Greta Hawkins, principal of the Edna Cohen School

"Five classes spent months learning the patriotic song, which skyrocketed in popularity after the 9/11 attacks and the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

It was to be the rousing finale of their musical show at the June 20 commencement. The kids, dressed up for their big day, would wave tiny American flags — which, as the lyrics proclaim, “still stand for freedom.”

But Hawkins marched in on a recent rehearsal and ordered a CD playing the anthem to be shut off, staffers said.

She told the teachers to drop the song from the program.

“We don’t want to offend other cultures,” they quoted her as explaining.

The curt edict stunned both staff and parents."

All you need to do is google this black racist’s name and you’ll come across this.

There are more than one review, but this one probably is the only true evaluation. The others are seemingly sychopantic a$$-kissing IMO.

Anarcho-syndicalism

A common Anarcho-Syndicalist flag.

In the early 20th century, anarcho-syndicalism arose as a distinct school of thought within anarchism.[78] With greater focus on the labour movement than previous forms of anarchism, syndicalism posits radical trade unions as a potential force for revolutionary social change, replacing capitalism and the state with a new society, democratically self-managed by the workers.

Anarcho-syndicalists seek to abolish the wage system and private ownership of the means of production, which they believe lead to class divisions. Important principles include workers' solidarity, direct action (such as general strikes and workplace recuperations), and workers' self-management. This is compatible with other branches of anarchism, and anarcho-syndicalists often subscribe to anarchist communist or collectivist anarchist economic systems.[79] Its advocates propose labour organization as a means to create the foundations of a non-hierarchical anarchist society within the current system and bring about social revolution.

It’s getting to where I have to look and see if it’s satire after the first sentence.

Sadly, all of those who worship him, and it’s still right 50%, think this move by the school is appropiate.

“’We don’t want to offend other cultures,’ they quoted her as explaining”

Wow, another idiot who is worried that a patriotic song might offend somebody from “other cultures”. Who’s culture? A foreign culture, a person who should be more worried of being a good guest and shouldn’t be here if they hate America? HER culture, left wing radical BS? Both? I hate liberal nitwits like this

“We don’t want to offend other cultures,”...but you don''t mind offending mine with the highly insulting complaint about a song which praises and affirms it......

Blacks have been under the spell of such hate-spewing so-called leaders as J.Jackson for so long that we may never be able to reverse the contempt and resentment they feel for this country and culture.....
