Yesterday (Thursday, 2012-05-03) a news report (via Fox News, of course) mentioned something about Condi Rice being a "strategic win" Vice Presidential pick for Romney.
That's peculiar, because Condi Rice has repeatedly said that she's not the LEAST bit interested in such a position ... ever. That's been Condi's statement for a couple of years now.
Why would Romney be floating such an idea (so very publicly, at the national news media level) ... when he's been crowned the presumptive "King Romney" by E-RINO insiders such as Karl Rove (ad nauseum) ?
Is O-Romney frightened by a recent (unknown) event ?
What about the Marco Rubio (Florida Hispanic "Wonder Boy") discussions about being Romney's VP ?
Have they secretly floundered ?
Did "Rock Star" Senators Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan see polling data that says that even if he becomes a Southern Baptist (next week), that Romney is TOAST with the GOP Conservative Base ?

I share deep concerns about Mitt.
In fact, I sincerely wonder if conservatism might not be more damaged in the long-run by a Romney Presidency than it would by a second Obama term. If Mitt comes in and doesn’t make any meaningful reforms, and he probably won’t, then the economy will likely get no better, and conservatives will get 100% of the blame (even though we would not deserve it).
Having said that, I am not sure the country can survive a second Obama term. Our chances of avoiding the looming financial collapse are virtually nil if the Kenyan gets returned to office. There is at least a shot if he doesn’t.
That is why I will pull the Romney lever and then try my best to hold his feet to the fire. It is also why I suggest that those conservatives who cannot back Mitt might be better served focusing on electing congressmen who they can support than on tearing down the only true alternative to Barack in the presidential race.

The Republican nominating convention isn’t over until the balloon drop. There is rebellion brewing, and it will be a free-for-all in Tampa this coming August.
Ron Paul supporters are making sure of that, and though I do not support Paul, I certatinly am sympathetic towards their anger and frustration with a Republican party’s cavalier attitude towards the conservative base.
Romney bought his way into this situation. I thank him for exposing all the political whores, but frankly, he deserves to be taken down and sent packing.
