The President MUST Be Involved in an Issue to Invoke Executive Privilege

By now, you probably know that President Barack Obama invoked executive privilege to stall Congress' attempt to get Attorney General Eric Holder to fork over documents in the Fast and Furious Scandal.

You probably also know, by now, that Obama explicitly spoke out against executive privilege before he was president, saying "the American people need to know what's going on," in yet another classic "do as I say, not as I do" moment brought to you by the first dictator in the history of the United States.

But did you know the president has to be involved in a situation in order to invoke executive privilege?

LOL. Ya think? I just don’t want Romney to have to run against Hillary. She still has a lot of folks duped.

Notice, all articles involve only FOX, Washington Times, and Drudge. I guess the Odummy Tass Service has not yet written the articles for the MSM.

I did notice that. The AP and NYT is waiting to get the official news article that is to be published from Carney (aka - Bagdad Bob). Carney is still word smithing the article after the conference call with Obama, Jarret and Holder.

The spell checker is likely exhausted by now.

Under those precedents, the privilege, which is constitutionally rooted, could be invoked by the President when asked to produce documents or other materials or information that reflect presidential decisionmaking and deliberations that he believes should remain confidential.

"presidential decisionmaking and deliberations"

You can drive a legal and logical truck through that one. Presidential decision making and deliberations can occur prior to his direct involvement, by staffers and advisors. And those discussions may well be privileged. So the assertion of executive privilege does NOT mean that he was involved. He may well have been, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I am not defending him. I think this move is a slimy effort to protect the AG that has had his back from the beginning.

It's a 4-corners offense prior to the election. A rope-a-dope strategy. And the mainstream press will wander away from it.

Or does Eric Holder have something on President Obama? The President's even appointing the likes of Holder looked suspicious. And Holder became a liability to Obama already a while back?

President Chucky Choomster won’t disparage one of his people by throwing Holder under the bus. They will hang this on some mid-level bureaucrat close to retirement and he will resign.

Case closed.

Obammy is involved.

But the big surprise will turn out to be - It was all Hillary Clinton's idea - she was the instigator, the perpetrator, the conductor, the leader.

there’s been “a tendency on the part of this administration to try to hide behind exec privilege every time there’s something a little shaky that’s taking place.”

- Barack Obama

“I think the administration would be best served by coming clean on this,”

- Barack Obama

“There doesn’t seem to be any national security issues involved..”

- Barack Obama

“I think the American people deserve to know what was going on there,”

- Barack Obama

Trey Gowdy just nailed the lying bastards during the hearing to issue contempt citation to Holder. If the little barry bastard commie in the White Hut isn’t involved int he fast and furious directives then why is he exerting executive privilege? Of course the enemy fith coumn meida will read axelgreasy talking points that will assert this grand savior is protecting the office of the presidency OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION! And that great lie will be swallowed by the stupid people, the democrap voters.

Of course he was involved.

Anybody who doesn’t wear hams on their head can assume he was involved.

If he wasn’t, then Holder broke the law.
If he was, then both of them broke the law.

Only two possibilities here, just two slots in the toast machine!

I think this proves Obama and Holder have “been in cahoots” all along.
