Obama’s whole cabinet was likely involved in the IDEALOGICAL DECISION to STOP TRACING THE GUNS to create chaos in Mexico so they could score POLITICAL POINTS to pass stricter gun regulations, blaming it on the U.S., of course. Project Gunrunner was the agency-wide program. F&F was part of Project Gunrunner out of the Tucson ATF office just as Operation Castaway, which ran guns to Honduras out of the Tampa ATF office, was a part of Project Gunrunner. One of the guns used to kill ICE Agent Jaime Zapata was "walked" from a Texas gun shop so that would have been a different ATF operation than F&F too but still part of Project Gunrunner.

The left claim the idea of FF was started under Bush but that was Wide Receiver, a program that never intended to let firearms cross the border but to have controlled hand over and arrests.

Actually it did intend to let guns cross the border but, as you say, they intended to interdict them at some point.
