This happens all the time where I live in Austin. Somehow the local hippo crowd is stealing credit cards or something because they can always afford the registration fee to put at least one hippo into each marathon.

The babies are cute! With razor sharp teeth in adult hippos, I wonder if they ever bite their own tongues or have periodontal disease.

Well, it too a long time and a lot of patience to get them to breed, but the result was more than worth the effort.
The one in the photo is mine. His name is Oscar.
The females in the litter all died, so we have to wait a while to get him a mate. But once we do - We’ll be introducing them into all the Petco and Petsmart stores for personal protection.
We’ve also got commitments from several law enforcement agencies.
They aren’t real cuddly, but they command respect.
