A Muslim mob shouting “Allahu Akbar!” erupts and stones Christians in Dearborn injuring the protesters. The mob threw stones, trash and crates at the Christian demonstrators. This is crazy! Wow! Watched the whole clip, very well composed showing the hatred of the crowd and the apathy of the police.

Did somebody say keep your powder dry?

The video clearly shows those who want to do American citizens harm. If all of this mob has citizenship rights, I will not be surprised. Full understanding why this city is known as Dearbornistan. Think of all the hate, for America and Americans, the parents are teaching these youths. Americans should not be worried, right? Wrong! Very eye opening for all Americans. Law Enforcement surrendered to the mob. This speaks volumes. Thanks for posting this information.

[Wayne County Sheriff Department (WCSD) Deputy Chief Jaafar, in the video, appears to be part of the top leadership controlling ground operations at the festival along with Ms. Ursula K. Henry, Director of Legal Affairs for the WCSD. Deputy Chief Jaafar is shown in the video consulting Ms. Henry on what to do with Mr. Ruben Israel. That is until Chief Jaafar lost his professionalism, got in Mr. Israel’s face and unloaded an emotional rhetorical barrage for the whole world to see. ]

Well there's your problem

The police serve to protect the unjust. Consistant with Godless government which has long stopped performing its intended function—punish wrongdoers.

"Jesus only confronted one group"

nonsense. He confronted almost everyone he met. The woman at the well, the woman being stoned, The rich youg ruler, Peter and on and on. He made it clear that "I come not to bring peach but the sword" - meaning the Christianity would be divisive and confrontational. That doesn't mean you can't confront in love and sincerity, but generally (not always) people don't seek out the Gospel - you have to take it to them. Thus, the Great Commission. Perhaps, by confrontational you were meaning they were being overly provacative or antagonistic in which case I would agree, that approach isn't going to convert anyone. (ie. The Fred Phelps approach)

"Jesus did not carry a sign telling unbelievers they were going to hell"

But he did stand on a mountain telling people the same thing - albeit in a constructive manner.

Landing at Detroit Metro airport these days is a culture shock. Getting lost in your rental car is downright dangerous.

Jesus never confronted those with pagan beliefs - and there were plenty to confront.

Really? You were there? /sarcasm off

I watched the video. I don't give a $hit who this group is or what their history is. They were in a public place and they were not harming anyone. NOBODY had the right to assault them. They may have not been real smart to do what they did but they had the right to speech. The moslems were pigs. Their actions on this video speak volumes. They are not Americans. They are from another country in their minds The police "response" was sickening.

This is a case of the police NOT doing their job and playing favorites.

First, this “Christian” group is not the Westboro Baptist group, but they do employ some of their tactics. They don’t go to soldiers funerals with “God Hates Faggots” signs, but they do go to gay pride parades with those kinds of signs.

This group reportedly is an “in your face” aggressive “Christian” evangelistic group and supposedly (I haven’t seen them so I can’t confirm) carried signs at this festival saying “Muhammed was a Pedophile” and a pig’s head on a pole. Here is the group’s leader, Ruben Israel, Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ruben.israel.5

The point of their ministry seems more (at least to me) to provoke rather than to engage in witnessing one’s viewpoint. If this group indeed showed up with signs insulting to Muhammed, what did they think was going to be the reaction?

Now, having said all of that - that doesn’t excuse what the Muslims did to them. This, after all, is supposed to be America where one is supposed to be able to voice opposition as freedom of speech.

Although I am not surprised at the reaction this group got, and in some way I think the “Christian” group accomplished their mission to “provoke” a response - the equal or even greater crime is that the Dearborn Police stood by and did nothing to stop what was going on. They only arrested the Christian group, but no one from the Muslim group that was assaulting them.

THAT reaction by the police is what is going to encourage this kind of behavior toward ANY Christian group. In fact, three years ago during the same “Arab Festival” a similar but not quite so violent encounter took place between Muslims and a few Christians who were only trying to engage in a conversation with some Muslims at a “Information Booth” at the festival. I’ve linked the article from the Baptist Press below:

As a blond, green-eyed woman wearing shorts, I can attest to the scorn and disgust the Muslims treated me with. And that was from ‘04 to ‘07. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

re: “Jesus never confronted those with pagan beliefs”
Paul DID ... Jesus commissioned Paul ... therefore Jesus did ...

Obviously this all depends on what one means by “confronted”. Jesus did do and say some controversial things. He called the Pharisees “snakes”, “liars”, “hypocrites”, etc. He physically tossed the money changers out of the temple area that was meant for foreigners to be able to come and worship.

First, there is one big difference between who Jesus is and who we are - He was God in the flesh. He had the right to do what He did (if He really was who He claimed to be). We don’t have that same perogative. We are not God and we don’t have the ability or insight that God alone has.

Second, Jesus was also of the same Jewish faith as those who opposed Him. He was not a non-Jewish outsider, He was not advocating a pagan religion to the Jews in their places of worship - which most certainly would provoke a negative reaction. What Jesus did was contront the hypocracy He saw by the religious leadership within the Jewish faith, He preached to other Jews with the concepts and scriptures they were already familiar with. He simply demonstrated the full meaning of the Scriptures regarding sin, hypocracy, true love for God, real concern for others, and who and what the Messiah was. He also didn’t always confront the Pharisees with anger - He tried to reach them using the Scriptures and logical thought. Some accepted Him, most did not.

Third, if you look at the Apostles, none of them did what they did to simply provoke a reaction. Even, Paul, who spoke at Mars Hill in Athens did so at a location where it was appropriate to discuss philosophical and religious ideas. He was even invited to speak more about his ideasby those listening. This is nothing like what the Ruben Israel group did.
