True, 51 pubs certainly does not guarantee they will all vote for it. That is why we need a powerul citizen rebellion including massive repeal rallies to put the pressure on. There are also options other than repeal while we gather up the votes. Romney can give everyone waivers, states can refuse to implement, nullification, etc.
Cantor did just that, the repeal vote is July 9.

Thanks for the information. I was under the impression it would take 60 votes (under current rules) to bring to a vote in the Senate. Here is to 51, after having won 70. Will be happy with 61 though.
That would be called a tax revolt. Refuse to file and refuse to send the bastards anymore of our money. We could bring this government to it's knees if we could pull it off.

Actually, it did when it counted. Olympic Snowe (Uber-RINO, ME) voted to let Obamacare out of Senate Committee. Without her vote, Obamacaare died right there.
There have been a handful of democrats who have expressed some regrets over it too.
He would not be in office at the time we get 51 senators to vote for it. Romney would be.
At least that is the hope.

And Romney hasn’t seemed to have the political argument to get to 60 votes, as I would example by comparison to some of Newt’s campaigning.

15 dems voted to find Holder in contempt, so there is a possibility some dems will also go for repeal. November will tell. If pubbies keep or improve in the house, and retake the senate, and retake the prez, based on a largely repeal obamacare campaign, that may supply the political momentum we need to get some dems on our side.
Then all of bambi’s waivers are void. Good.

Already in motion, Cantor scheduled an early House vote for repeal already... and PRECISELY for the reason you propose, to make the Dems vote for a tax increase the SWORE didn’t exist!

That’s all that would matter this time... I’m no fan of Snow (job), but she sounded like she was looking for repeal herself last night on Fox, actually~
We (well not me) allowed the media to demonize her. And even here many freepers attacked her instead of uniting behind her. We had a chance for her to be President.
Technically.. But who’s gonna make sure? Roberts? Boner? Pelosi? Reid? Obama himself?

We need to elect as many Republicans to Congress as we can and gurantee a miserable life for those who vote left taxing bs.

Depending on courts to enforce our ideas is a fool’s game. We must win the election of a new president and congress and put the pressure on to undo Obamacare.
If they won’t, we must revolt.

Can we do anything more than defund it with 51 votes? Can the who bill be overturned with just those 51 or can the democrats filibuster that because it isn't strictly a budgetary item?
This is all contingent on Romney winning.
So any of you who vote for Goode, Hoefling, Paul, Bachmann, Palin or Newt in the general election are working against this strategy.
I swore I would never vote for Mitt. I was wrong. I will be in November and will be encouraging everyone around me to do the same. And, this time around, Wisconsin may matter.

When you vote to let that bill out of committee into a Senate with a filibuster proof majority of progressives, you have voted for the bill.
