Emergency’ Rules Committee Meeting Called to Push Through ObamaCare Repeal

The House Rules Committee has scheduled an “emergency” meeting Monday evening to consider the Repeal of Obamacare Act.

The meeting is considered an emergency because the bill has not even been introduced yet. Congress is on recess this week, set to return Monday.

The bill “to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and health care related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010″ is sponsored by Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.).

“The law imposes 21 new or higher taxes on American families and businesses, including 12 taxes on families making less than $250,000 a year,” the bill states. “…The path to patient-centered care and lower costs for all Americans must begin with a full repeal of the law.”

It also notes the controversy over mandated coverage of birth control without a co-payment.

“Until enactment of the law, the Federal Government has not sought to impose specific coverage or care requirements that infringe on the rights of conscience of insurers, purchasers of insurance, plan sponsors, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders, such as individual or institutional health care providers. The law creates a new nationwide requirement for health plans to cover ‘essential health benefits’ and ‘preventive services’, but does not allow stakeholders to opt out of covering items or services to which they have a religious or moral objection, in violation of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (Public Law 103–141).”

The bill does not mention last week’s Supreme Court ruling.

I hope there’s a genuine plan and this isn’t merely for show.

A terrible cynic here. All is theater, for consumption by us rubes. Red meat for the swallows we have become.

When have you ever seen RINOS pull anything off but a performance.
Besides, Romney is going to be made to wear this around his neck and be forced to do some heavy lifting himself, before anything even begins.

The house should not vote for repeal until after the election!! Dooms knowing it will never pass in the Senate will be given cover by voting for repeal!! Let them defend their original vote for this unconstitutional monster!!

Fire and brimstone in the House (maybe), only to hit a solid brick wall in the Senate. And even if that is overcome, there’s no way nobama will sign it and there aren’t enough votes to override.

Something has to be done.

Our Supreme Court has been corrupted by this Act.

Our Legislative Process has been corrupted by this Act.

There is no longer any non-corrupt building in DC.

Either DC fixes this or it sinks forever into the swamp of corruption.

Actually.. they should hold it in mid October to put ALL the house democrats on record of support of it.

Then, beat them over the damn head with it till election day.

That's what it looks like from here. I mean, the House can pass anything it wants but that sick scumbag Reid will never let anything passed by the GOP House see the light of day in the Senate. I guess there could be some value in a head count, though. A landslide victory in the House (with lots of rat votes) might send a nice little flare up Ubama's rear end.

Prediction:

Judas will denounce this action, deny its exsistance, or just ignore it. My wager is on the third option, unless one of his blabbermouth staffers (nothing happening is unplanned) steps into the first option, then mitts will deny it.

No, really, that’s how these critters operate.

It may not work this way for long, but for the time being it’s become noticeable to me that the more heard from Obama the worse he does, and the less we hear from Romney the better he does.

An empty suit should be enough to take down the ONE, and certainly Romney as his twin but silent about it, makes him just the man to fill that empty suit.

As for the House, maybe they just want to bring this to the table to expose the Senate road stop and drive home the point that we must take the majority there.

Holding a vote that everyone knowes is going nowhere in the Senate means nothing, and provides cover to Dims and RINOs alike,as the can say they voted for repeal during the race for their seat!!!

A most excellent point! Though, I can see both sides of this turd...

Put them on the record, and put them on the record. That about sums that up.
