Posted on 07/12/2012 10:20:19 AM PDT by Mark Landsbaum
We got a phone call this morning from an Orange County businessman who had attended a conference this week in which a university professor lauded the benefits of cap and trade. Obviously, this prof doesnt work in an industry that will have to directly assume the burden of this added tax, disguised as a fee.
But our caller does. Our caller and the prof do share this in common their cost of living as consumers will go up as California state government ratchets up its taxes through cap and trade auctions, ostensible to rid us of horrid CO2 emissions, which we remind you is the stuff you exhale. ...

“WE got... OUR caller”
Are you royalty or do you have a gerbil in your.. pocket?
Politically destroy the SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS in November THEN CLEAN HOUSE in the government agencies infested by these frauds. That’s the only way to stop them from destroying this country.
We are actually LOW on C02. CO2 levels have been much, much higher in the history of our planet. Very few have considered that C02 is not only important to 'plants', it is important to 'fish'. Where does the 'oxygen' in the water come from that fish breathe? It isn't from the H2O. If it was, then you would awake to find your goldfish dead, in the bottom of a dry fishbowl, and a room full of hydrogen gas.
The only reason the GW Alarmists are after CO2 is because it contains CARBON, and CARBON is what they REALLY want to TAX, because most stuff on our planet is CARBON BASED. CO2 was easiest to use (blame) because most processes give off CO2 and it is a benign and insignificant factor in 'weather' or 'climate' or 'average global temperature' (which is about as meaningful as the 'average sea level'), so they weren't going to change anything that would cause the world (or them) any harm.
Taxing all CARBON use.
