I know Romney's not a hit with Freepers. Truth be told he was FAR from my first pick as well. BUT...

Received in an email today...

YOU MAY NOT LIKE MITT ROMNEY, BUTTTTTT!!! HERE’S SOMETHING TO CONSIDER....

Columnist Andrew McCarthy gives us what probably is the most important question regarding the upcoming presidential election. if Mitt wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy. For my friends who have hesitation on that score, I’d just ask you to keep four things in mind:

1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78
2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year
3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August
4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago.

We wish them all well, of course, but the brute fact is that whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court — in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.

If you don’t think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, think again!

So, for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can’t win, imagine this: SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER.

I was trying to figure out what was new about this, but when I got to your website, it occurred to me that maybe that was the whole point - to get me to go to your website.

Congratulations! You got me on that one.

When an incumbent is on the ballot, the election is about the incumbent.

If you do not vote for Romney, you are voting for Obama.

I will not vote for the lesser of two unthinkables. Many who are saying this now also said the same during and before the primaries.

Horse crap... and full, repetitive horse crap, at that.

Posit the following vote totals, just for the sake of demonstration:

OBAMA: 1,000,000 votes.

MITTENS: 1,000,000 votes.

OTHER: 5 votes.

Further posit that my vote is the sole ballot remaining, and yet to be cast.

Demonstrate: How my not casting a vote for Mittens increases Obama's vote total from 1,000,000 to any other number.

Use both sides of the paper, if necessary. Show ALL of your work.

Either Obama will win again, or Romney will win.

There is no other alternative.

Obama hates my country.

Romney does not hate my country.

This is not a difficult choice.

At best, Romney would put up a Roberts ( a trojan vote). If he follows his pattern, his choices would not be that good.

Yeah, but the problem with voting for RINO Romney is that we’ll lose the country anyway - just a little later. Do you want your execution at high noon or tea time?

Bull s#it.
A vote not cast for Romney is one less vote for Romney, BHO or whoever do not get that vote.
A vote not cast for BHO is one less vote for BHO, Romney or whoever do not get that vote.
A vote not cast for whoever is one less vote for whoever, BHO or Romney do not get that vote.

Agree with the title of this thread but how come the TP pulls the weight of the GOP and gets stuck with RINO’s as the Presidential nominee? Chumps anyone? Yeh Willard blows but gotta vote for him and I will-—. ):

Yes, who to write in is a difficult choice. Both of the major party candidates are people for whom I believe it to be morally wrong to support with a vote.

Nonsense!

You must work against the greater evil, and the greater evil is Obama.

The Soviet Union was ALWAYS evil, but we worked with “Uncle Joe” Stalin in our fight against Hitler.

Survival is the issue, and our country as we know it will not survive another 4 years of Obama.

You know that either Obama or Romney will win.

ADMIT IT, you will be relieve, even after your “Punctious Pilot” washing of your hands, if Romney wins, won't you?

Folks,

Instead of must-vote-Romney vs. never-vote-non-Conservative food-fight, can we consider our common goals?

Near-term (Nov 2012-Jan 2013) Goal - Elect the most conservative Representative, Senator, and President so that the progressive (socialist) agenda is halted & rolled back.

Long-term Goal - Establish (or Convert) a Major party dedicated to conservative values and to the return to the limited government per the constitution.

Remembering that the presidential election is 50+ contests, not a nationwide popular election, there are different tactics, based on your state, to move the nation to the near term and strategic goals.

If you are in a Republican-dominated state, which is likely to elect Mr. Romney, you are the vanguard to accomplishing the long-term goal. Your presidential vote should be cast for the conservative party... to ensure they are on the ballot next cycle and to send a message to the RINOs.

If you are in a Democarat-dominated state (such as in my case - Maryland), which is likely to elect Mr. Obama, our votes and support for Republicans down-ballot will strengthen the local effort to reduce Democrat strength. Our presidential vote can also be cast for the conservative alternate.

However, for those in the Battleground State (you'll know by the number of political ads on TV & radio), you must focus on the short term goal — the departure of Mr. Obama from the seat of power. Yes, you must vote for Mr. Romney. Please let us in the other states to carry your “message” to the Republican party, or they are not correctable, to ensure that the conservative party can get ballot slots in the next cycle.

We cannot get to the long-term goal which we all aspire to without achieving the short-term goal. Even us in the hopelessly Democrat states can man the phone-banks to the battleground state which will determine if we get the short-term goal.

Please consider how your actions will impact our beloved country.

Every judge Romney has appointed has been a liberal so whats your point? You actually think he would nominate a conservative to the court.. Islamist will eat bacon lettuce and tomato sandwiches topped with pulled pork petting their beloved pet dog before that ever happens. The destination of the court is into irrelevancy lead by a mental moron Roberts and Romney won’t ever bring it back.
