I teach in Memphis, and live in an outlying area. I find Obama is still popular in the black church where I teach kids’ Sunday School and at the college where I teach (about 1/2 black students).
My church in East Memphis sponsors the black church.
remind your black students that MLK jr was a Republican. That the KKK was started by Democrats....
Yep....and no doubt for one reason, and one reason only. He's black. Half-black, really, but that doesn't matter. He has dark skin.
Period.

I hear ya. I have had to get together the staff twice over the past two years to explain the increase in their health insurance cost and deductible...This gets everyone’s attention...regardless of who you voted for last time...decreasing income talks loud.
