My sister Barb has cancer on the brain now. According to her doctors today, she is in dire need of care. Part of the roller coaster of the last few days (especially for me, because I was dead-set against it) is that she has abandoned regular medicine and has gone in for the "naturopath" route of tons of supplements and the like.
Now we need to confront her and get her to change her mind. The doctors told her husband it is imperative; time is of the essence. Time is exactly a prime reason I'm against playing around with "alternatives".
I'm praying we can get her to take what she needs to give her more time. Her girls need her longer, too.
My mother is already obviously (over the phone) a mess about all this.
P.S.: Please pray for her son Rutger, as well, as they were rear-ended badly just the other day and Rutger is in much pain and having trouble speaking. As if there isn't enough going on!

We pray for all those undertaking chemotherapy “chemo.” the use of medicines or drugs to treat disease, that the Lord will work out His perfect will in your situation and bring about healing. We ask that The Great Physician will heal all those that have undergone surgery and radiation therapy and that the fire of God will destroy all the cancer cells. We speak peace to all the patients and ask the healing virtue of Our Lord God will flow through every vein, tissue, cell, ligament and that healing will manifest. We believe that Gods desire is manifest in your life. His desire is written in 3 John 2 “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along”. We speak peace to all the families having cancer patients. We speak uncommon provisions to cater for all the expenses needed to take care of the patients. We destroy every generational curses and declare that they will not continue but the blessings of God will overshadow each and every one of you. We are in agreement with Gods word in Jeremiah 30:17 “ But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds declares the LORD.” So be it, in Jesus Name.
Prayers for Barbara. The natural way is not the way to go for Stage 4. This is . . from experience.

I told Barb what I thought yesterday - I don’t want to be accused of just being a yes-man and not warning anyone and making her “feel good”. But it looks like all of us have to be no-men today.
My most heartfelt prayers for your sister, Barb.
I am going through something similar now with my deeply beloved girlfriend, whose breast cancer has metastasized to her spinal fluid. She has moved in with me so I can take care of her full time, and I completely empathize with you about how scary and heartbreaking this whole miserable process is.
Watching her go though this, and seeing the horrific effects of this second round of surgical, chemical and radiation treatments she is undergoing, I can understand the difficulty of deciding what the best course of action is in terms of treatment.
For the time being, my girlfriend is undergoing oral chemo which is expected to continue indefinitely, but if it fails and more drastic intervention is the only remaining option, I can well understand the choice to forego further medical treatment.
I am giving my girlfriend as much care and love as I possibly can now in the hope that she will continue to believe it is worth hanging on. I pray for restoration of her strength and for her recovery all day every day. But seeing the wreckage of this once vibrant and accomplished woman, I will not fault her if she eventually reaches the point where she decides to just let go and pass on in comfort and love.
If that happens, I will be there to hold her hand when she passes, and I know I will never be the same for having finally found such deep true love only to lose it after only a few short years together.
My heart aches for you, you sister and her family, and my prayers are certainly with you.
