My sister Barb has cancer on the brain now. According to her doctors today, she is in dire need of care. Part of the roller coaster of the last few days (especially for me, because I was dead-set against it) is that she has abandoned regular medicine and has gone in for the "naturopath" route of tons of supplements and the like.
Now we need to confront her and get her to change her mind. The doctors told her husband it is imperative; time is of the essence. Time is exactly a prime reason I'm against playing around with "alternatives".
I'm praying we can get her to take what she needs to give her more time. Her girls need her longer, too.
My mother is already obviously (over the phone) a mess about all this.
P.S.: Please pray for her son Rutger, as well, as they were rear-ended badly just the other day and Rutger is in much pain and having trouble speaking. As if there isn't enough going on!
Barbara has been on my prayer list for months now, and I know what a jolt this twist is to your whole family. I will continue to pray, and ask that she makes what will be the best decisions for her health, for her quality of life, and for her loved ones. My heart and prayers go out to all of you.
“The natural way is not the way to go for Stage 4.
“What odds for the effectiveness of conventional medical treatment have the doctors given her?”
Conventional medical treatment has little or no chance with Stage 4 cancer. When the doctor sends the patient home or to hospice and tells them to get their afairs in order, the right alternative treatments offer a 50% recovery rate. There are several good Stage 4 treatments, and the choice is sometimes based on where the cancer is located.
Conventional medical treatment has, overall, less than a 90% success rate with all cancers, regardless of stage.
Alternative treatments offer a 95% success rate for early stage cancers, and a 50% success rate for late stage, no hope cancers.
There is a problem with alternative treatments...there should be someone to guide the patient/client. Often a cancer patient, or family members will go ‘alternative’ and not get it right. Coaching is absolutely important. There are many resources for alternative treatments, and it does not mean going to Mexico.
In this case I would look for an MD or DO who does Intravenous Vitamin C therapy at very high doses, with treatments twice a week. Dosage usually starts out at 25,000 mg per treatment, and builds to as much as 150,000 to 200,000 mg. In Australia it is common to go to 300,000 mg.
Your sister and her son are in my prayers.
Prayers up for Barbara, for her son, and all of her family, and for you.

Prayers for your sister and nephew’s health and healing.
Mace,
Thank you so much for your prayers! I am so sorry you are struggling with this for your poor dear girlfriend. It is bittersweet to hear you are so faithful to her. God bless you and her!
Thanks to everyone who is helping us!
Barb has agreed to re-set an appt. about all this.
It went much better than I thought and shorter than I thought! It was good to see my 1 niece come out and forcefully talk to my mother and her mother about how she feels about all this and how she wants Barb to do the best thing - it’s too late to play around.
:)
Well, I know the faith-healer sent her to the naturopath (this is just after the revelation that the brain has been affected). I know her 1st name, and I sort of know the last name of the naturopath. This woman is apparently oriental, with a last name like “Enn” and Barb still doesn’t know her 1st name well (again, oriental).
I’d like to know just to see what kind of reviews she gets.
I really doubt that modern treatment will do anything but torture her, just let her go naturally
Cheers for your niece! Sometimes the best input comes from the most unexpected sources. Will keep praying for all of you, for good choices and good outcomes, and the strength to get thru it all.
