NEWS FLASH: The price of helping President Obama to celebrate his birthday has risen.

Until recently, it was possible to win a chance to help President Obama celebrate his birthday by betting only three dollars. Now, you can pay twenty-five dollars to play.

By e-mail received in my SPAM filter on July 16th, our beloved FLOTUS offered a chance to win an opportunity to help President Obama celebrate his fifty-first birthday for a mere three dollars.

According to an e-mail received in my SPAM filter this morning, from President Obama himself (even my SPAM filter does not like President Obama), it's now possible to pay twenty-five dollars to play. Perhaps he thinks his little supporters are more affluent now.

Friend --

I'm celebrating my 51st birthday back at home in Chicago -- and I'm delighted to invite a few grassroots supporters like you.

This get-together might be the last chance we'll all get to relax for a few hours in the next few months. Each of us needs to dig deep if we want another reason to celebrate on Election Night.

I hope to see you at my birthday party -- and don't worry about travel to Chicago or a hotel. It's taken care of.

Make a donation of $25 or whatever you can today to be automatically entered:

Thank you so much for all that you do -- and I hope to see you at my house.

Barack

No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by July 26th, 2012. You may enter by contributing to Obama for America here or click here to enter without contributing. Two (2) winners will each receive the following prize package: round-trip tickets for winner and a guest from within the fifty U.S. States, DC, or Puerto Rico to a destination to be determined by Sponsor; hotel accommodations; and tickets for winner and a guest to an event with President Obama on a date, at a venue and for a duration to be determined by Sponsor (approximate retail value of all prizes $3,200). Odds of winning depend on number of entries received and timing of entries received. Promotion open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of 50 United States, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and 18 or older (or age of majority under applicable law). Promotion subject to Official Rules and additional restrictions on eligibility. Sponsor: Obama for America, 130 E. Randolph St., Chicago, IL 60601.

Note: only U.S. citizens and lawful permanent U.S. residents need apply, so illegal aliens are not welcome. Are photo IDs required? Another very serious question: Will the pot bellied pig, upon which I would need to rely for emotional support at the party, be welcomed? Apparently I will be able to bring him with me on the airplane, but if he can't be with me at the party I simply won't go.

TOPICS: Humor; Pets/Animals; Politics; Travel
KEYWORDS: birthday; obama; potbelliedpigs
Now why would he raise the cost by more than 800% that? I don't know, but I do know that if my emotional support assistance pig can't go to the party I won't.

I guess the memorial donations for Okrent weren’t enough to keep the coffers full?

If allow the kenyan to extort money from you for his “birthday”, do you get a peek at his latest BC?

If they really wanted to raise a lot of money... they would offer the chance to have a no holds barred cage fight with Obama. Most conservatives would pay big bucks for the chance to beat the crap out of him.
