My ex-wife used to work at an elementary school. Few years ago at a nearby school a man walked right up to a child and tried to abduct her.
I asked my ex why the schools didn't have armed guards patrolling the schools. She said that the sight of men with guns would frighten the children and "we want them to feel safe at school".
A man here in Houston today walked up to a child on the street in the kids neighborhood, kissed him, then tried to bite his faceoff. True story. Said it was a cultural misunderstanding. Least he was not another bath salts zombie.
