Ross who was KIA on 31 Oct 1969, the following awards and decorations for his service in the Republic of Vietnam: the Silver Star; the Bronze Star Medal; the Purple Heart Medal; the Army Good Conduct Medal; the National Defense Medal; the Vietnam Service Medal with bronze service star; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal Campaign with1960 device; and the Army Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar.
