I have enjoyed Chick-fil-A's products for almost 30 years now. The first Chick-fil-A I ever saw was located in the Regency Mall (now closed) in Augusta, GA. Ever since I have always considered them to have the best fast food available anywhere. I found it odd at first that they weren't open on Sundays. Even back then I thought 'Well, that won't last. As they get bigger and more successful someone will probably put a stop to that.' Now, here it is decades later and they still don't do business on Sundays. As to why, here it is from their own FAQ at their website:

Q: Why is Chick-fil-A closed on Sunday?
A: Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. He has often shared that his decision was as much practical as spiritual. He believes that all franchised Chick-fil-A® Operators and Restaurant employees should have an opportunity to rest, spend time with family and friends, and worship if they choose to do so. That's why all Chick-fil-A Restaurants are closed on Sundays. It's part of our recipe for success.

Amazing, really.
And to top it all off now the Giblets (GBLT) want to drive them out of business! Chick-fil-A has never hurt anyone but, you see, minding one's own business is no longer good enough! No, one must kowtow to the gods of gayness or be persecuted for one's 'wrong' thinking! Make no mistake - To the Giblets the very act of not praising homosexuality is, in and of itself, hate speech! All wrong thinkers must be punished as an example to others who might get the idea that it is acceptable to publically disagree with the homosexual lobby.
But this time I think things will be different. The mask has slipped a little. People all over the US have seen the way Chick-fil-A has been treated by mayors of various towns and they don't like it. The word has gotten around. People are talking in their churches and businesses.
So tomorrow, Aug. 1, has been designated "Chick-fil-A Day!"
I hope Chick-fil-As all over the US actually run out of product tomorrow. I predict lines of cars filled with people trying to give Chick-fil-A their custom will stretch around the stores and the parking lots will overflow. Chick-fil-A is going to have the largest single day's receipts in the chains history and good for them! I'm proud to say a tiny bit of that money will come from me.
Do everything you can to make it to a Chick-fil-A near you and buy some of their wonderful food! Even if you're not that crazy about chicken sandwiches, stop in and buy an ice-cream cone, milkshake or sundae. Just do it to let people know they can't tell you what to think and what not to think!
A friend and I plan to drive from Southern Oregon to a Sacramento ChickfilA location. I LOVE ChickfilA food, but prefer to stay away from biggggg crowds. I want to show my support, but it’s also quite an investment of time and gas. As a fellow freeper, what would you suggest?
“I may even buy some CF-A gift cards for other family members!”
Great idea, EnglishOnly! I was already planning to dine at our local CFA; now I’m gonna buy gift cards, as well.
BTW, rather than giving the cards to f&f, how about sending them to liberal acquaintances or, better yet, send ‘em to the closest LGBT ORGANization and see what THEY do with them (snicker, snicker)
Good for you just don’t speed :)- hope to hear a report about it all!
Good for you just don’t speed :)- hope to hear a report about it all!
IMO the “participation” in this Aug.1 Eat Mor chikin flickin is well and good. However we- who agree with Mr.Cathy and who are Angry at this unwarranted attack on Chick -Fil- A need be watchmen on the wall so that the enemy does NOT succeed in
their queer economic jihad against Chick -Fil-A and sneak in mean spirited and unfair regulations against the business while we are busy eating chicken to show our support.
Thumbs up for all you do!
I’ll be going with my wife— I will be the one wearing the
Chick-Fil-A T-shirt I bought on sale at the local Kholes Dept. Store. $10.00 well spent.
My employer is catering Chick-Fil-A for all employees tomorrow. They catered CFA today as well, just because. Yeah, I work for a cool employer.
Is it the one in Fairfield, perchance? I ate there last Friday on my way up to Willows.
That is the only time I’ve eaten at a CFA (so far!), so I can’t give you an informed opinion on much of their menu, but the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich I had was delicious. And I think I may have found fries I like better than the fries at In-N-Out.
That'll work fine, at least until the San Jose CFA opens in mid-August. I'll just celebrate Chick-fil-A Day a little late. :)
Probably the Arden Fair store because it’s the closest considering the long drive. Fairfield is farther and would only be a consideration if we plan to hit the outlets in Vacaville.
I’m familiar with the menu and love their low cal healthy chicken wraps.
BTW, ChickfilA and In-n-Out are friends.
I wonder if there’s a more productive way to spend our time and energy...
Had breakfast there last week. Ate dinner there last night as a pre-run for Wednesday. Snicker.
Our pastor did a salt demo during on Sunday using CFA waffle fries and talked about supporting them. If everyone from my church eats there on Wednesday along with all of the other churches in our area it is going to be sooooo busy.
Perhaps we will run into other friends that we haven’t seen in a while.
Im going to buy something from their site tommorow for sure.
freepers are the greatest folks around...♥ Amen to that!!!
This here is Florida.
We have a castle law and ain’t no one too safe if you put your mitts on someone else.
Even if you are a fag protester for whatever reason./
I can’t do it tomorrow, so I did the next best thing. I took a co-worker to lunch there today!
