In an effort to rebuff demands that he cite his source for making the claim that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney hasnt paid taxes in ten years, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) says he is invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
We all know that Mr. Romneys request that I name my source is a trap, Reid complained. Unauthorized disclosure of a persons filings with the IRS is a felony. Im not going to further blacken the name of my extremely credible source just to assuage someones out-dated notions of integrity.
Speculation is that Reids extremely credible unnamed source might be Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. While Geithner didnt deny that he has had discussions with Reid on various tax matters, he insisted that I would never give out actual information about anyones filings with the IRS. Geithner suggested that perhaps Senator Reid has mistaken some of the what ifs I was discussing as factual.
Although adamant that Romney must release all of his IRS filings for the last ten years, Reid steadfastly refuses to release any of his own, calling it a private matter that I am well within my rights to keep confidential. Reid characterized suggestions that his stance is hypocritical as the worst sort of smear tactic and vowed I will not allow myself to be intimidated by anonymous accusers.
if you missed any of this week's other semi-news posts you can find them at...
Great satirical review of Reid’s hypocritical bumbling on this.
Could be $1,000 fine and 1 year in prison for each violation of IRS code section 301.7216
Unlawful disclosure of tax information with out consent.
Reid not only took the 5th. He drank it. Reid, you got about 90 days before you and pelosi can sit on the same bench and watch the republicans turn this country around. Enjoy.
the libtard emotionalist mentality so isolates them from reality that they just don't get it how ridiculous they sound
I heard from indisputable reliable source that he was a member in good standing of NAMBLA and his favorite quote is...Speak softly and carry a big bag of candy.
That says it all.
You’ve captured the essence of Liberal Projection John.
I know this is satire, but it could just as easily have been a legitimate news article.
Reid actually sounds delusional and mentally ill.
I swear the communists must scour our school system for the lowest IQ individuals then groom them to believe in Marxism and run for office, become a professor, become a journalist.
