Rep. Allen West (R-FL) is someone I really like. I like that he says what he thinks and doesn’t mind if it ticks off the left. Apparently he made a nice gesture of providing free food for the Black Caucus. Instead of the Black Caucus being thankful that someone else provided food for them, they were offended. Why? Because what Rep. West sent them were Chick-Fil-A biscuits!
Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) said that it was a deliberate attempt to offend the members of the Congressional Black Caucus.
“We have a rotation in the Congressional Black Caucus where every member provides the lunch one of the weeks when we meet,” Hastings told Huffington Post on Monday.
“We have fried chicken. And we have catfish and BBQ. We do not have watermelon, although sometimes people will have fruit. We serve a full course meal with collard greens. We have Jamaican beans and rice,” he continued. “But West ”sent Chick-fil-A with biscuits. Ok?”

It should be a condition of holding office that you have a thick skin and are not easily offended.
Most of the CBC have thin skin and thick heads. They are the party of easy offense. They offend me every time I hear about the CBC.
Why do blacks get to have BET, The black Miss America awards, the Black Panther party, Congressional Black Caucus or any other black only groups?
I would like to see whites start doing that. The first thing we would have to shoot down is that showing pride in being white isn’t racist anymore than blacks showing pride in being black.

Apparently the offensive chicken act was performed six months ago, before CFA became a hot button.
They must have been severely torqued (though they all ate everything back then) to be still upset now that it’s in the news!
For years I’ve heard blacks say they’re offended when gay rights are lumped in with civil rights. So, I ask the black congress folk, what DOES gay marriage have to do with being black?

The free food is reported to have been consumed by these freeloaders about six months ago.
But, again, it proves the point that the entitlement mentality is poisonous: Give mooches free food long enough, and nothing is good enough for them.
I should think just being a member of the Black Caucus offense enough.
How in the world could anyone be offended by freebies from Chick-Fil-A? Maybe if Col West forgot the sweet tea and/or peach shakes perhaps (that I could almost understand)!
We need to see an end to the Congressional Black Caucus and similar racist groups. They need to fit in with the other Americans and just be... Americans. Disgusting that a group like this exists in government.
