We here at Capital Tonight are proud to announce that YNN and NY1 will be hosting a debate between US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Republican challenger Wendy Long. Both candidates have agreed to a live hour long debate at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, October 17th that will air on both YNN and NY1 reaching almost the entire state.
The debate will be co-hosted by our very own Liz Benjamin and by NY1′s Political Anchor Errol Louis. The format will be similar to the one we have used in the past, including the GOP primary debate we did back in June, so you can all look forward to those lightning round questions.
Mrs. Long is a very special candidate - let's help get her name out. Please call a talk show, write an editor's letter, email your friends, volunteer. Do what you can.

While this is an unscientific poll, it’s gratifying to see that the majority of voters chose WENDY LONG, even though she doesn’t have a lot of name recognition yet.
