You also have to be able to count up to a majority or super-majority number in both houses and avoid a Governor's veto.

I believe you didn't read the story. The people in Tennesee threw the democrats out and installed a Republican House, Senate and Governor and nothing changed. The rino's fought against what the people wanted. The people threw the rino's out.

I did read the story. The Tea Party often has unrealistic expectations and strange interpretations of the Constitution and historic events. They also have a tendancy to scream RHINO when some poor stupe they put into office can’t perform the miracles they want. Elected representatives are given certain powers by the delegation of authorities that is the state constitution. Just because the Tea Party “People” say they want something doesn’t make it so.
