Is Obama caught between a rock and a hard place?
Many of us have speculated that he would do anything to get reelected. He would even have a war with Iran or N. Korea... but, maybe that is off the table.
It would not help him with conservatives. We know he is bad and want him gone. It might help a little with moderates or independents, but it would hurt with a large chunk of his no war, noway base.
I was fearful that he would get us in a huge international disaster before the election, but with each passing day, that anxiety decreases a little.
What do you all think? Have the odds been going down, up or staying the same that he will get us into a conflict with another nation before the election?
He won’t. As bad as things are, or have been in the past, the elections have continued. You think Obama is abusing the powers of his office? He’s a lightweight compared to Wilson, he had the power to do things that Obama would only dream of, and he used it. And even he couldn’t impede the 1916 or 1918 elections.
Of course there will be a “wag the dog” event. What it will be I can’t say, but you know Axelrod and Obamao are plotting something. What the Republicans have to do is have a counter “wag the dog” plan ready to unleash immediately with a follow up slam like Breitbart would have done (I truly enjoyed watching Breitbart hit the Dems with something and than when they were picking themselves up off the carpet he’d floor them again with a roundhouse).
I think that the possibilities are endless. This is an administration that is both self-centered and dismissive of Law. Add in that they are fundamentally delusional and ANYTHING is on the table. ANYTHING!
About the only recourse left that may get him votes now is to openly and brazenly send out cash for votes, he will do that or some form of enticement like a $5,000 EBT debit card, valid only after the election.
Honestly, even fear tactics like arming every single Federal worker isn’t getting the fear drive into gear, because all of America still has more guns and ammunition.
And his theory of the “gold or lead” offer won’t work either.
But then half of that idea may just fly, with a lot of strapped for cash people I would arguably say food for votes may work, or gas for votes or simply cash for votes.
There is still plenty of time within which to execute an “October Surprise.” They have had three years to prepare for the contingency that “The Divine One” may face reelection problems.
If he attacks (or abets an Israeli attack) on Iran, he loses all cred with his Bruthas...That is a fact....he can’t. My fear is that Ahmamurderijad will have the fire, (even if it is from Pakistan) and will use it before November...
My leftwing wife and her rightwing husband speculate on a massive crackdown on ‘drug cartels’ and ‘smuggling operations’ operating through the US, but mostly along the border and within the border states. A semi-domestic semi-war on something vague and ill defined, which few people would be willing to defend.
