Besides, it’s not like I ever advocated for Romney to play up his weird cult religion. The brilliant GOP candidate came up with that strategy all on his own. Just a taste of what you can expect for 4 years if Romney wins.

Your choice this time is between Mao and Hubert
Humphrey. Take your choice. If you can’t see the difference, that’s a defect in you.

The patriot? I’d vote for Mel Gibson over either of those other two, but he’s not running.

If I were to decide my vote on the basis of theology, I’m not sure the theology of Rev. James Wright would be superior to the theology of Brigham Young. That’s your call.

My call is to vote for neither.

I’ve never seen Mormons fly a plane into a building. I’ve never been wronged or threatened by Mormons. No Mormon ever asked me to accommodate them unreasonably and the few times I’ve been to SLC I’ve found it to be a neat, clean safe city.

I’ve been wronged by Mormons. I don’t think they are any better than anyone else. But they do smile when they are stabbing you in the back.

Mormons had a history of violence. The U.S. had to send the Calvary to Utah to protect wagon trains from the Mormons. They no longer have violence emanating from the top levels, but the state of Utah ranks average on violent crimes.

And the leading candidate for President is the father of Obamacare and the father of Gay Marriage. Etch-a-sketch is a democrat running as a Republican. So you have been wronged by Mormons, you just didn’t connect the dots.

Oh, please. Have you never read the history of Europe? If you took out Religious wars there would be almost no story to tell. If it weren’t for religious persecution the pilgrims wouldn’t have come here. The history of conventional Christianity contains lots more violence than the history of Mormonism.

"The history of conventional Christianity contains lots more violence than the history of Mormonism."

Christianity is 2000 years old. If you know the history of Europe, you know the crusades were started by Islam, not Christians.

Mormonism is less than 200 years old. A much higher percent of Mormon history is filled with violence than Christian history. List of Mormon wars and massacres

I didn’t mention the crusades because they were minor compared the religious wars just between “Christian” nations. Add the Inquisition and the other niceties like the pogroms against the Jews and the Mormons come off pretty well by comparison. Recognize too that much of the fighting, even arguably the Mountain Meadow Massacre, was at least in part defensive; a lot of “Christians” were intent in exterminating them.

Again 2000 years of history and most of the western world. The Inquisition was 1 country, and was initiated by the state, the RC church actually intervened to limit the abuses. When you look at Christianity vs Mormonism with the perspective of time and territory, Mormonism has a terrible history.

But what is relevant in this election is that Mr. Etch-a-sketch fathered Obamacare, taxed gun owners, and fathered gay marriage. His father said that we should listen to Alinsky. The family of this person, you seem to think is a patriot, fled America so they could practice polygamy.

I’m not voting for him. I think he was brought to us by the same powers that brought us Obama. This election is rigged. The socialists are going to win no matter which candidate wins.

I’m going to vote third party, in hopes that a third party gets enough momentum to make a real difference in future elections.

Again defensive vs. offensive. Again the centuries long efforts to suppress and even exterminate the Jews all over Christian Europe. Yes the Christian history spans 2000 years vs. 200 for Mormons but the last half of that for the Mormons has been essentially peaceful; it’s not possible to find 1000 years of peace in Christian Europe. It would be difficult to find 100 all together.

Vote as you like. If it doesn’t bother you to take your ball and go home, it certainly doesn’t bother me

You’re arguments are no longer relevant to this thread. And you are clearly antagonistic to Christianity. You’re view of World History is warped.
