Obama's second term: Abolish checks on his power
American Thinker ^ | September 1, 2012 | Ed Lasky

From today's Wall Street Journal column on Barack Obama's campaign:

The president views a second term in some ways as a second chance, an opportunity to approach the office differently, according to close aides. He would like to tackle issues such as climate change, immigration, education and filibuster reform.

Clearly, Barack Obama still doesn't care what the American people want or think. Climate change is not a top concern for Americans. Already, efforts by the Obama administration on this topic have killed jobs and slowed growth and hiring in any number of industries (coal, chemicals, oil and gas) but in a second term he will continue to push through regulations and rules interpretations that will accomplish much of what he was unable to do in Congress. He will have more "flexibility." He has pushed out to 2013 decisions on issues such as the XL pipeline and EPA regulations precisely for this electoral reason.

Immigration reform is a concern - but again it is not one of the top issues either. Education is just a signal that should he be reelected teachers and teacher unions will have hit pay dirt.

But it is the latter item on his to do list that should raise a red flag: filibuster reform.

We know by now what Obama means when he uses the word "reform." It means revolution.

The only reason anyone needs to vote him out

I know the liberals told us after Tucson, that we can’t use violent or military imagery anymore.

But, I fully agree with Senator Mancin (sp?) of West Virginia, a Democrat who did a commercial in which he shot the cap and trade bill with a rifle.

Let’s drive a stake through the heart of this cap and trade global warming horse blank. Please.

Just watched 2016 Obama’s America. I am so glad this movie is drawing crowds and came out before the Nov. election. If it doesn't scare the hell out of anyone even contemplating another term of Obama...nothing will.

Of course not. Kings, dictators, and tyrants never care what the people want or think.

In a positive note, a quick check through out history shows that such people get dispatched in nasty ways.

Yep, it’s good to be King...for a while, anyway.

He might even attempt “President for life”.

That sure is one goal. Another will put the US under United Nations jurisdiction, subjugating our Constitution and Supreme Court to UN approval. The US will be an average world power: Military size reduced, weapons reduced, treaties revised downward. We will have no (or few) trade agreements, so we will pay top dollar for all imports and get far less for our exports. Jobs that produce goods will be overseas so we can buy their products.

Yeah, kind of tough for a King to retire. Once you can't show up for work every day, things tend to go south in a hurry.

“We know by now what Obama means when he uses the word ‘reform.’ It means revolution.”

Exactly. He is an anarcho-syndicalist, in the Islamic mold of same: the Marxist Muslim.

This is the last chance to get rid of him. Another term, and no more elections before he’s good and ready.

Found something very interesting in some of the stuff I put out today. Basically, the muslims claim the first caliphate was the very first welfare state. Which means that they basically claim to have *invented* communism.

Now, 1000 muslim inventions I don’t buy. But that one has some credibility.

Interesting stuff.

One of the 5 pillars requires taking care of widows and orphans.

From an odd perspective, we could say that the 1st four caliphs, the Rashidun, did indeed spread wealth....because Islam was tearing through North Africa and the remains of the Roman empire, spreading like wildfire—by the sword. So, of course, widows and orphans would be made all along the way, as looting was ‘authorized,’ as with any conquerors.

A valid premise. Muslim poor and Muslim warriors were financed off the backs of the working Christian, Jewish and Hindu masses. Your taxes were reduced if you converted, and your work load decreased (don’t have to feed passer by or pay poll tax).
And Muslims work less than their neighbors. Muslims earn less and use welfare more in Western nations, and Muslim nations have lower incomes than non-Muslim nations around them. But if your social structure says you are the top of the food chain and you have the right to their wealth and to conquer them for it, that would engender laziness. Forcing women to stay inside, cover up and only make and raise babies also hinders productivity.

There have been no checks on Obama’s power in his first term. Why would his second term be any different? ?
