Lessons I have learned from the Democratic National Convention (Vanity)

What I have learned from the DNC over the last few days:

The greatest benefit to society is if every American becomes a ward of the federal government.

All social and moral obligations should be outsourced to the state, notably to the federal government.

Capitalism is evil. In other words, private contracts between individuals in voluntary economic arrangements are morally reprehensible.

Crony capitalism and corporate welfare are evil, except when the Democratic Party continues to get campaign contributions from the benefitted parties.

Federalism doesn't exist. Meaning, if the size and scope of the federal government is curtailed, children will starve and old people will be thrown into the streets, despite the fact that states, counties, cities, civil society, religious charities will still exist to do their duties under the liberty of the US Constitution, and will continue to support the indigent regardless of what the federal government does.

The United States doesn't have a right to defensible borders and that we should reward foreign criminals who violate our laws and sovereignty.

Americans don’t have the right to protect their property and families with their constitutionally protected fire-arms.

People should be forced to join unions AND have their dues channeled against their will into the coffers of the Democratic Party.

The first amendment of the US Constitution is only reserved to liberals.

Starting a business and keeping the profits of your own investments is evil, and you must be punished for that evil by having that profit confiscated by the federal government.

Killing a human being in the womb is a choice and a right, but being able to keep the fruits of your own labor is evil and not a choice and a right, the ability to dispose of your own property is evil and not a choice and a right, the ability to eat and drink what you want is evil and not a choice and a right.

Women have a sovereign right over their bodies yet expect the government to take care of those bodies and the bad decisions made by those bodies from cradle to grave at the expense of the people who live their lives responsibly.

Liberals arrogantly believe that they can control the weather and climate, despite the fact that the weather and climate have been changing for billions of years, and long before capitalism and the industrial revolution, and will continue to change long into the future, despite putting more control of the economy in the hands of bureaucrats.

Federals bureaucrats in Washington DC know how to live life better than you, even though there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that federal bureaucrats are any smarter or wiser than anybody else. Indeed, there is evidence to the contrary.

Every child should be compelled to attend a state school to be indoctrinated into secular leftist politics from K-12, even though those children come out after 12 years illiterate in math, English, science, government and history.

Every social, economic, moral problem of our time can be fixed by an act of the US Congress, specifically through higher taxation and more regulation.

Adding $6 trillion in debt in 3 1/2 years to the federal government's balance sheet and have nothing to show for it is good economics and fiscal policy.

Anybody who disagrees with President Obama or a liberal is racist, because there is no reason to oppose Obama or liberals in a rational way .

This is what I learned, there are only three things that are important: free birth control, unrestricted free abortion and anal sex.

What I learned from the convention: Cardinal Dolan has more courage than most Republicans. I’m surprised that lighting didn’t strike that audience when they said “Amen”.
