Once upon a time, I wrote a newspaper column while onsite at a Democratic National Convention.
I opined that, It really doesnt matter who the Democrats nominate as their party standard-bearer Bill Clinton, David Duke or a loaf of bread black voters will blindly support him (or it).
Indeed, blacks have gone overwhelming Democrat since the 1932 presidential election, when Franklin Roosevelt captured 71 percent of the black vote.
Given that history, most political observers expect the same outcome when black voters go to the polls this upcoming November. Especially since one of their own is running for a second term in the White House.
Well, I have a different view. While I expect that the majority of blacks will indeed cast their ballots for Barack Obama, I seriously doubt he will capture 96 percent of the black vote this time around.
Thats because a certain segment of the black population socially conservative, church-going Christians are none too pleased with the ungodly positions the president has taken on such issues as same-sex marriage and abortion.
Indeed, the 1,300-member Coalition of African-American Pastors is currently circulating a petition among their church congregations encouraging Obama to reconsider his election-year support for same-sex couplings.
By embracing gay marriage, said Rev. William Owens, the Coalitions president, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path. Some things are bigger than the next election.
Then theres the National Black ProLife Coalition, a network of pro-life and pro-family organizations. It points out that abortion is the leading cause of death for blacks.
And that Democrat-aligned Planned Parenthood, whose president got podium time at the Democrat convention in Charlotte, is most responsible for the yearly slaughter of pre-born black babies.
Were calling out black leaders, the Coalition declares, who align themselves with the destructive eugenic force of Planned Parenthood. That includes Obama, who has sold his soul to the abortion-industrial complex.
So, while a majority of black voters almost certainly will line up behind Obama again despite the immoral path down which he has led this nation, as Rev. Owens lamented, those that place God above political party, above racial hegemony, will vote not to return him to the White House.
So, if Obama lost 100% of the black vote we'd still lose.
BTW, I went over this last November ~ this race is much tougher to win than you might imagine. That's why we needed somebody with some charisma who'd be willing to say bad things about the other side!
Obama could torch black churches and burn crosses on their lawns and it wouldn't make the least bit of dent in his support among the blacks.
Thanks muawiyah. Very good information.
It frustrates and saddens me that so many of these people are motivated by envy, jealousy, covetousness and eagerly accept looted wealth. Looking to the government to meet your needs and solve your problems is idolatry pure and simple. Abortion and sodomy are not the only things about the Dems that should trouble Christians. They are evil through and through.
Headline should read - “Obama’s ungodly policies risk his eternal soul”.
I will say this. I will NEVER vote my skin color on any issue over my Lord! God comes first. Even over America. If blacks vote for blacks over the Lord, then one day they will have to explain it to HIM!!! That simple.
Don't kid yourself. there aren't that many of those.
Instead of 96% it might be 94%.
“Since ‘W’s high point in 2004, we’ve been on a downward trend in Presidential votes.’
Since 2004, there has been only *one* presidential election, so one data point in 2008 constitute a trend?
In the privacy of the voting booth, color trumps everything for black voters. I’ll be surprised if obama doesn’t increase his share of the black vote.
Sometimes I think this all started when the Northern Carpet baggers promised them all 40 Acres and a Mule....
BTW, If you look me up it will say I'm from Georgia....BUT up until last year, I lived my entire life in Ohio, so this is not a southerner of original origin making this statement.
Ungodly? Try anti-God.
That is my prediction as well. Only a very tiny percentage of the Black community see the truth about Obama, and I am sure that most of them will still vote for Obama. Race trumps everything.
You should examine the data and give us an idea what the normal trendline is ~ then 'splain 2008! Tell us why that's going to stop.
How can you think it’s all about race? They typically vote 90% rat.
I didn't leave the Democratic Party, It left me....--Ronald Reagan
No, you have one data point, that the vote total for the Republican presidential candidate went down in 2008 compared to 2004, even though it went up from 1992 to 2004.
1992: 39.1 Million
1996: 39.2 Million
2000: 50.5 Million
2004: 62.0 Million
So just because it went down in one data point in 2008 to 59.8 Million, that’s the trend?
How will Black churchgoers be able to continue singing their favorite spirituals, for example, about how their eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, after voting for the leader of a political party whose members have booed God and His holy city Jerusalem?
God will not be mocked or booed, and what do Black church members think He’s going to do with His terrible swift sword except use it against the mockers and booers and those who vote for them?
