Obama's presidential journey began with fraud, literally

Apparently, Barack Obama's 2008 campaign to become U.S. president started with legal irregularities and underlying, nefarious ideological purposes. Federal prosecutors have successfully convicted one Shepard Fairey, creator of, "the iconic red, white and blue Obama 'Hope' posters in the lead-up to the 2008 presidential election," for, "criminal contempt of court for falsifying and destroying documents and coaching a witness while embroiled in a copyright infringement battle." Fairey misused a now-famous image owned by The Associated Press featuring then-Senator Barack Obama to "create" his now (in)famous poster.

The prosecution of Fairey was not politically motivated, as he was accused and convicted by a branch of the Obama administration itself, the U.S. attorney's office for the Southern District of New York. If there was any bias in this whole debacle, it was on the part of the administration. The artist was, "chosen to design the official poster of Obama's 2009 inauguration." While, "Time magazine commissioned Mr. Fairey to create the cover portrait of Barack Obama for its Person of the Year issue," Fairey admitted that his poster was, "produced with the blessing, but not the financial backing, of the [Obama] campaign... The Obama campaign later sold prints of the poster on its Web site."

Fairey's motivations in "creating" his now-widely-known 'Hope' poster included both greed and politics:

... Prosecutors had told U.S. Magistrate Judge Frank Maas in Manhattan that Fairey had "both an ideological and financial motive" to alter evidence in his favor after basing his poster on one of the AP's photographs. They said he did so over several weeks, engaging in behavior that "cannot be dismissed as remotely impulsive or the product of a moment of bad judgment."

"This was not a mere failure to preserve documents," the government wrote. "This was the intentional destruction of evidence and the intentional manufacture of false evidence. The defendant knew exactly what he was doing when he created the fake documents and sought to destroy the deleted documents." ...

Obama was elected U.S. president in 2008 despite the fact that we already knew of his far-from-innocuous, long-standing relationships with people/entities like Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, James Meeks, John Lewis, Alcee Hastings, Bill Ayers, Mahdi Bray, Nihad Awad, Trinity United Church of Christ, ACORN, the Muslim American Society's (MAS) Freedom Foundation, and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

It is common knowledge that powerful political symbology like, "the iconic red, white and blue Obama 'Hope' poster," swayed American voters starving for a better form of government. Astute observers of society know that, "mundane forms of symbolism, symbolic forms that while seemingly innocuous and uncontroversial can entail strong or significant meanings." More specifically:

... The complex nature of symbolic forms, items and events (and slippage between them) means that at least in regard to political symbolism an obviously important characteristic is that of mutual recognition. While the interpretation of meanings may differ between individuals and contexts, symbols nonetheless contain many elements that are commonly understood, irrespective of the value judgment that is placed upon the meaning ... across disparate populations. ...

In a nutshell, Americans were hoodwinked by Obama. Add to that the fact that since Obama has been president, 79% to now 62% of Americans feel that, "things [in the U.S.] have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track," and that Obama's average approval rating during his time in office has been 49% and his most recent approval rating is 44%, it should be a miracle for him to be reelected. Miracles sometimes come true.

It is time for Americans to throw the meaningless and hollow "hope" and "change" platitudes aside, get informed, get involved, and vote for a Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan ticket -- a ticket with substance -- to get the great United States of America back on track as a proud, strong, prosperous, and free nation.

Yet so many accept his explanations about his birth at face value, as if they were afraid to even consider the possibility that an American president lied.

If someone with PhotoShop skills would change that poster to read “HOAX” instead of “HOPE,” I’d buy a copy.
