Our Boy Scout troop trained last Saturday with a volunteer K9 SAR Team. The dogs and handlers are awesome in their training and abilities.

Thanks to all who stand ready to serve.

I think they were. Some of them got strategically lost in the woods and others went with the airscent dogs and handlers to find them. The team also had tracking dogs and a couple Human Remains Detection dogs that they demonstrated. They also saw how important good knowledge of map and compass are.

I met the team leader at the airport a few months ago and when I found out what he did, I got the scouts on that idea pretty quickly.

Thank you for the ping.

I can’t say anything else about the brave dogs.

I can deal with the “event”. But when it comes to dealing with the people (or animals) I crater.

I doubt I’ll ever really recover in full from 9/11.
