Romney is the only choice.
A vote for anyone else is a votr for Obama.
Yeah that ship has sailed. Romney/Ryan 2012.
Better a Mormon than a Muslim.
The economy is anemic. The fiscal cliff looms on the horizon.
The socialist barbarians are literally at the gate and need to be repelled.
IMHO, your unrelevant thread is an unnecessary distraction and as such, not helpful.
Yep. My thoughts, exactly.
We are not electing a religious leader.
We are electing a head of government.
Render a vote for Caesar when appropriate and keep it separate from your duty to God.
Read scripture. Through the ages, Jehovah has chosen flawed and sometimes ungodly men to accomplish his purposes.
Consider the possibility that He sent Obama as punishment, and shut up about Romney.
You might watch the video.
After yesterday, you have the gall, the audacity, the chutzpah to post something like this??? Are you out of your freaking mind??? Stuff this sh!t.
Somewhere around 6:30, he says that if you don’t have a Christian to vote for, you choose the guy who has the best foundation of truth that will support Christianity in society.
I don’t think anyone agrees that Obama is that man.
It’s clearly a matter between a Muslim and a Mormon — choose your poison.
The answer he gives: “He who would provide the strongest moral soil in which to grow Christian faith”, is useful. But in the current political reality, the real question is: “Which one loves and reveres the Constitution the most?”
The answer in 2012 is no contest. I say that because that question actually covers the moral soil for the growth of the Christian faith (which needs only benign neutrality in order to thrive).
Romney (and most Mormons) take the Constitution very seriously (even Harry Reed would, if only he knew what it says). obama HATES the Constitution. To him it is a bore and a bother. Oh, he finds the 14th Amendment and the Commerce Clause useful; but has every intention of governing entirely outside the rest of the Constitution; that is why he needs 2 more Communists on the Supreme Court; that is why he must be defeated. Otherwise, game over.
No, better a Mormon than a moron.
Go away, loon.
if jerry falwell could vote for a mormon, and he was a televagelist as the go, then this is not an issue.
I suspect much of this stuff is now just trolls.
Your post #12, “Romney (and most Mormons) take the Constitution very seriously”
Yes, there is a reason for that; they believe that the U.S. Constitution is as sacred as the Book of Mormon. In the latter days, it will be under siege and will be saved by Mormons. Thus, we must reclaim America to save the Constitution and usher in a genuine age of Mormon leadership. They want to build a Mormon kingdom on earth, similar to modern day Dominionists/Kingdom Now proponents within Christianity. Founder Joseph Smith had a socialistic philosophy and wished to have a society that shared things in common.
I really believe what he said about a moral soil is right on, rather than a political, economical or religious criteria.
All are wrong but at least the Mormons share the better assumptions of the more correct and righteous listed above—namely that one should at least try to live as Jesus Christ did with the rest being superfluous to the all just and all merciful Almighty--meaning we will all get what we deserve regardless of doctrine dogma belief faith hunch feeling or opinion...period!.
Your post #10,
“I dont think anyone agrees that Obama is that man.”
Yes, any THINKING man (or woman)...unfortunately, there are plenty who don’t fall into that category.
I repeat what Jedidiah said: “We are not electing a religious leader.”
consiudering recents events in the middle east do yoyu really want to let O have another term???
Just go away already
“You might watch the video.”
You might just go away with your continous irrelivant crap about Mormonism. Go back to DU where you belong. Send them some complaints about BO’s Muslim faith.
To those of you who are full of presuppositions and run at the mouth without examining the evidence and exhibit a “Dem”-wit in civility—the issue is NOT whether to vote for a Mormon or Obama, but whether to vote for a Mormon OR not vote, with a clear conscience.
It is a delimma that many Christians are facing. The message ON THE VIDEO is very freeing for those who are fretting about it.
Turning the question around, which candidate is the greater threat to religious freedom?
there is no dilemma... not voting adds to the likelyhood that O will be reelected. Think 1992 and Ross Perot or hell even 1976 when folks stayed home rather than vote for Ford...the consequences in Germany in 1933 when many parties split the vote and good Germans stayed hoime. History is replete with the follies of those trying to be perfect.
We do not live in a theocracy. We ARE electing the next president ( and if O is it it may be the last presidednt).
and by the by...the only thing required for evil to triumph ios for good men to do NOTHING
It’s kind of a no-brainer, don’t you think? Obama and his entrenched ones are obviously the greater threat to religious freedom.
Thank you for posting. I enjoyed hearing his thoughts on this & agree with his opinion on Christians voting for a Mormon.
No, it is not a no brainer. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
I accept your message - “don’t jusge book by it’s cover”, or “don’t judge an article by it’s title”
If this video helps devout Christians make the “right” choice in November, I’m all for it!!!
I also must say, I like Ravi Zaharias approach to when and how and how not to use the term “cult”.
For those that did not watch the video, they should.
Thanks TurkeyLurkey for goading those of us who did not watch the video intitially to take a second look.
