I believe that many jews are simply more afraid of Christians that they are of muslOms, fwiw. Starting after WWII there was a huge backlash towards “the right” for them, which is how they were decieved into believing that is what the NAZIs were, despite their being the national socialist party.

I think what Jews are most extremely afraid of is their children becoming Christians and this fear has been passed down through centuries. Many must demonize and marginalize Christians to keep their kids from investigating and being attracted to the truth, the fact that Jesus is the Messiah.
And there is no connection whatsoever between Judaism as a religion and communism. In fact, Jews in the Soviet Union faced severe repression from the Soviet government over its entire period of existence, to a greater extent than other minorities and religious groups.
Jews will not be voting anywhere near 85-90% 'Rat in the US this year. Obama would be very fortunate to get 60% and may well get less than that. Things are turning toward the right direction in the Jewish community and the events of the last few days in the Arab world, in addition to Zero's new snub of Netanyahu, will only hurt him even more there.

Somewhat insulting. All religions feel theirs is the right way for their flock’s children. Do you want your children converting to Judaism? Be kind. The Jews around here are smart and conservative and detest Obama. We don’t fear Christians. We believe the truths of Christianity are truths for Christianity. The Jewish religion does not condone evangelism (trying to convert others) but neither does it condone intermarriage. This last bit was a big problem most recently for Napoleon, who wanted to fully integrate (ie. secularize) the Jews of France. At the same time, most Jews are as ignorant of Christianity’s tenets as Christans are of Jewish tenets. And may I add... The United States of America is the only country ever in the history of the world in which more Christians convert to Judaism than Jews convert to Chistianity. What most Christians don’t seem to understand is that Jesus himself was one of us. His followers were Jews, too... Seeker, I do not share your optimism. American Christians care about Israel more than American Jews. They are indoctrinated, conditioned to vote Leftist. One would hope they'd learn, but one would be wrong.
Believe it or not, there are pockets of politically conservative Jews within the geographical boundaries of NYC, specifically in the "outer boroughs." They were instrumental in electing Congressman Bob Turner in a special election to fill Anthony Weiner's vacated seat last year. Unfortunately, Turner has been redistricted out of his seat for the forthcoming election.
These pockets of politically conservative Jews tend to have a disproportionate number of Orthodox Jews as well as more recently arrived Soviet (and other communist-bloc) Jews and their descendants. Those two subgroups will be voting overwhelmingly for Romney this year.
As for Bloomberg, he is a detestable big government nanny statist on a local level, but he did win the mayoralty three times running on the Republican line. In other words, he beat 'Rats. Though he is ideologically close to them in some respects, he seems to have managed to lower the level of the corruption that is inherent in openly 'rat machine-controlled city government (as in Chicago).
I wouldn't call Bloomberg a "pure communist" either, but rather a crony capitalist who is part of the obnoxious MSM.

I didn't call Bloomberg a Republican. When he first ran for the mayoralty, he was a ROC (Republican of convenience), not even a RINO, but he benefited from Giuliani's support. He was fortunate in a way that the election was two months after 9/11, when Giuliani was at the peak of his popularity.
You would be hard pressed to find any major Bloomberg appointees in the city administration who are known to be Republicans of any kind. Yet the GOP party bosses let him run twice more on their ticket for re-election because they felt there was no viable alternative.

Agree with the first two sentences. But I am unaware of any losing attempts at public office as a 'Rat prior to his successful run for mayor in 2001.
The common belief is that he switched parties in 2001 to avoid the stiffer opposition he would have had in the Democratic primary.
