John Batchelor was interviewing Congressman Devin Nunes when he said he had breaking news.
The Congressman said the Intelligence Committee requested someone from the State Dept. brief them on the events in the Middle East, etc., and they refused. And didn't give a reason why. They would have settled for staffer, they weren't asking for anyone in particular.
He said it was unprecedented and had never happened as long as he could remember. He made a point of saying there was a great deal of bi-partisan cooperation on the committee, so it couldn't be blamed on election year partisanship.
I guess Hillary doesn't want to be bothered with the whole congressional oversight function.
This is an easy read. No one at State has any intelligence.
Hillary and Obama evil they both need to go. The only difference between them is one has one and the other doesn’t. What are they hiding?
I’m wondering why Hillary hasn’t offered to resign. She is the CIC (clown in charge) of the State Department and this fiasco happened on her watch. If she doesn’t resign, will the Food Stamp President have big ones and just fire her?
They probably can’t send a rep. over because they haven’t gotten their lies straight yet. They were still having problems with the news people going off script about the bogus anti-heathen film by interviewing “experts” who stated that the film was not the cause. Need one teleprompter script that all off them read from before they send any reps out to brief.

He was. There was a video floating around of that part of the murder, going around third world blog sites. Some teenaged mouthbreather slid a narrow, stiletto type blade about 8 inches long and a half inch wide up Qaddaffi’s bum. The intention was to slit and create the pain you described. Ironically, this murdered ambassador had an active hand in creating the chaos that led to Qaddaffi’s overthrow. Unintended consequences to be sure.—

This is when it is going to get interesting. This is going to be when Hilary throws Obama under the bus. She may not show her cards as yet, but mark my words, she will use this to differentiate herself from Obama.
If Obama wins the election she will not be the SOS during his next term. If he loses the election, she will start her campaign before Rommney even takes the oath of office. Once Rommney is sworn in, she will be writing a tell all book about the Obama admin.
If Obama manages to win the election, she will release a different tome during the last two years of the Obama Presidency, to show the behind the scene actions of Obama’s failings and how she would do it differently.
Pray for our country, this has the makings of a meltdown of the highest order.
If Obama fired Hillary, he would lose a lot of his feminist base which he cannot afford to do.

I never understand why she took SOS job it seemed to me politically stupid. Because any of Zero's foreign policy failures would be her failures too, since she is SOS and as SOS a participant in those failures. If she had stayed as a Senator from New York she could have had Reid's job. All she had to do was ask and the Senate Rats would have fallen all over themselves giving it to her. She could have stayed above the fray, she might have been able to actually get a budget done. She could have ridden to the Rat rescue as the Zero administration augers into the ground. Now she has to ride that disaster down with the rest of Zero's minions.
Again she's is a political genius? She has talent as a politician? Where is the evidence? I am actually amazed that Slick thought the SOS job was a good decision.
It would be a good way to prevent her from running for President in 2016.

That classic was already dated in that thread; it's hard to believe those events were 16 years ago. My brain plays it back instantly on rereading the lyrics.
I'm frustrated that I don't have this on my computer already. I don't think it appeared on any of Shanklin's CDs. I did record it off radio onto VCR then copied it (amongst about 20 hours of Rush highlights) onto my Rush greatest hits videotapes. I later burned those "videos" to DVDs. I just haven't found time to proceed with ripping the audio and dividing it into the individual tracks.

She is speaking in a monotone that is unusual for her.
I’ve had the honor of meeting CA Rep. Devin Nunes. Me, being from the ultra liberal Silicon Valley, it was refreshing to meet a conservative in CA, albeit not from the local area. He’s very young and from the inland agricultural area of CA, but very promising. I’ve been sending him messages hoping to see him get engaged in the battle. I’m pleased to see him speak out now. Watch this guy. He has real potential.
